If you are considering selling a home in the Olympia WA area and are wondering if you should wait until spring - the answer is probably NO.
Right now our listing inventory is at a pretty low point, especially in the price range under $200,000 where many buyers are actively hunting. In fact, when I search for active listings of single family homes for sale in the greater Olympia area, excluding short sales and "fixers" and in the price range up to $200,000, I only find 91 listings today.
And there are definitely buyers out there looking, ready to take advantage of low interest rates and become home owners. So should you wait until spring when there will likely be quite a bit more competition for your house?
The reason I answered "probably" no is that there are some good reasons why you might need to wait to sell your Olympia area home. If your house needs exterior paint, a new roof, or a redo of the landscaping in order to show well, it may make really good sense to put off listing your home until the weather permits those to be completed. But if your home is ready to show well right now, don't feel like you have to wait for those spring blooms to appear.
It could be time to sell your Olympia area home right now!
