Annual Houston International Boat Show

Reliant Center in Houston Texas will host the 56 TH Annual International Boat Show & Travel Show beginning on Friday January 6, 2012. The event is the largest Outdoor Show on the entire Gulf Coast per the promoters. The crowd’s expected to be huge. There will be over 1,000 powerboats, fishing boats, luxury cruisers, and personal watercraft on display. Several boat manufacturers and dealers will be offering pre-season deals.

Reliant Center is located at 1 Reliant Center Houston Texas 77054 and here is the link to Google maps if needed.

The show will also exhibit a huge selection of campers, travel trailers and other accessories for outdoor type of fun seekers.

In addition to the boats and campers there will be numerous exhibits for the entire family. Available for sale will be a large array of items including but limited to jewelry, hot tubs, excursions to Alaska, exotic fishing trips with guides and many other exciting items.

I personally am not interested in the show but I know my step-sons and their dad who are all into sailing will be interested enough to go and spend many hours looking at all the sights. If anyone attends please let me know what you thought of this show.

If anyone from Katy Texas goes to this show the traffic at least on the weekends and non rush hour shoul be fairly light and travel time might be about 30-45 minutes one way.

Rick and I usually go to the boat show EVERY year. It's a long way to drive for warm, cinnamon and sugar coated pecans... but worth it! ☺

Good Morning Bob, it would be an interesting show to attend.  The majority of boats in this area are of the large commercial fishing type.  We see very few recreational craft.
