As I mentioned in my blog post 2012: A New Year, A Blank Parchment, and Our Goals, my wife Jennifer and I prepared our 2012 Purpose and Plan. This plan gives us daily, weekly, and monthly goals to meet in the 2012 year, both in our personal lives and in my business. With the recent addition to our family of our son Jonah, it seems we have twice as much going on each day!
The family schedule we put together directs our day from start to finish - including our rising in the morning, work and activity hours, meal times, free time, etc. - helping us focus on the beauty and purpose of our life as a family. It also reminds us that what we do involves and effects one another, and that all should be done in concert- like a trio of musicians!
This family schedule has the remarkable effect of also protecting the time I have set aside for building my business and serving my clients in 2012. My business plan is designed to work in harmony with my family life, such that I can focus entirely on my defined tasks when they are scheduled without neglecting family needs.
No plan is perfect, and every plan relies on execution, but so far... 2012 has been a wonderful year for us! May God continue to bless our labors and direct our plans.
Obligatory baby Jonah picture to make this post even better!
