What will you find? A Magic Plan. Just take pictures using your smartphone. And according to its website, “MagicPlan measures the size of the room, draws the floor plan and creates DXF file, PDF document, JPEG images and a web site with an interactive floor plan.

According to its CEO: “MagicPlan enables anyone selling or renting a property to create a floor plan in minutes. This will change the real estate landscape.”  (Sébastien Demers, CEO of Gooplex.com)

Available on App Store. Sorry, Droid fans. Looks like at this time it's only available on: iPhone 4 and 4S, iPod Touch (4th generation) and iPad 2 (OS 4.3.1 required)

Jordon ---  I know of a service that creates floor plans from pictures, but it's a heck of a lot more expensive than this app.

The concern I have is for those who intend to do bad with it. Could you imagine a "perspective client walking around your place taking pics, then phone creates a floor plan and they have now properly stalked your place for a robbery or worse?

I dont know if there was no evil in the world then I would jump on the band wagon and say I LOVE IT how cool. Since there are adn this almst gift wraps your or others place for them its scary

I'm STILL doing it THE OLD FASHION WAY - graph paper, sharp pencil and scan to pdf for EZFLOORPLAN to give it to me a "finished" plan!

Wallace -- Can't hurt to check this out. Their prices seem so reasonable.

Jim -- don't know. There are so many apps intended for the Iphone series only that aren't on Droid yet, if ever.

David -- I had an iphone, then switched to Droid, and went back to iphone. I also now have an ipad and a MacAir. Guess you can say I've gone over the "dark side".
