Soup or Slop?? the Broker as Chef

"Too many cooks spoil the broth"  So the old adage goes.  And so it is with the real estate transaction. You hired your broker, and and you have entrusted him with the role of guiding the process.  Hopefully that will be a recipe for sweet success.  But occasionally it happens that a few others want to  put a pinch of this or that in the mix.  So next thing you know, the seller is talking to the buyer about this or that, the buyer's attorney is chatting with the seller's attorney, and you have "Who's on first???"  Think of your successful real estate transaction as a piece of sculpture.  You hire the "artiste", the broker.  But if everyone comes along with a chisel and takes a whack here and there, the end result is not likely to be a pleasing work of art.  So it should be with the deal. One chisel. One artist. One person accountable for the quality of the result. So here is to great art, and yummy soup, and savory real estate success!
