10 Comments on Telling a Story - A Remarkable Evening
Cal, right on, online relationships are now different than personal face to face ones. Great post
Cal,
My wife loved her visit to Lancaster to view quilts. They are beautiful, but knowing the story behind the fabric truly does add value to the beauty... as in life. SC
Gerry, online relationships do have the same type of energy and expectation. It is amazing how it develops.
Steve, when was you wife in Lancaster? The quilts are really cool. The quilt in the picture is one my first congregation gave me when I left the church to pastor another church. Each block tells a piece of our story together. It now hangs in our house and is a wonderful reminder of some great years.

Cal,
Leslee went in 1990. She chaperoned for an 8th grade school trip to DC. Your quilt is a perfect example of the "story" that can be told in a quilt. She really enjoyed touring the family businesses in Bird-in-Hand. She thought the trucks following the buggies were quite the sight being from CA. SC
You know how much I value online friendships and relationships Cal, I believe you've practiced what you preached in this blog also. Great analogy. Make it a great day my friend.
Cal, friendships and relationships are the things that matter in life - and they aren't things. Love this analogy. Happy 2012.
Sharon
What a wonderful post, my friend. It is the relationships, the being there for each other, that make all the rest of it bearable and worthwhile. Life is about pain and trauma, about joy and victory ~ it's LIFE
Steve, I guess one of your children was part of the group. Interesting to hear that.
Roger, yes, I know your main reason to be on AR is for the community. You are a testimony what being an online friend is. I see how many people who care about you and respect you. Thanks it was a great day and it is going to be a great day.
Sharon, so true and happy 2012 to you.
Ahh, life! It is the most wonderful thing and you, Mimi are a great example of living it to the fullest.
Cal
Thank you, Cal! I sincerely appreciate you and your friendship. You are an example of one of those wonderful benefits of being on AR
A very insightful post Cal.
I appreciate everything you do. You not only challenge us and make us think, but you care as well. A character trait that is highly welcomed these day.
Talk to you again soon.
