"BECAUSE I TRUST HIM."

Reblogger
Real Estate Agent with Re/Max 10 New Lenox Illinois http://dtaylor.remax.com

Over 25 years ago when I was making the decision to make real estate my full-time career, I consulted two very close friends who possessed  a high standard of integrity.  One was a trusted Evangelist and the other an Attorney.  They both told me I would do well if I elected to not compromise integrity.  Lenn, below describes integrity by using the attributes of trust.

I appreciate her points because I have been so fortunate in the last 25+ years to have nearly 900 families in the Chicago, Illinois area trust me by allowing me to serve them.  They have honored the trust established by referring their family and friends.  I maintain my gratefulness by keeping myself reminded of what trust really means.  I hope what Lenn share inspires you as it has inspired me to do this unconditionally on a daily basis for my Valued Clients!

"BECAUSE I TRUST HIM."

WHY I'VE RELIED ON THE SAME NETWORK OF AGENTS AND BROKERS
FOR REAL ESTATE REFERRALS FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS.

IT'S ABOUT CHARACTER.  Perhaps it's a matter of intuition, which is really just using one's life experience to make judgments about the character of the people we meet.  For casual relationships, a person's character may not be a factor.  Folks come and go in our lives.  However, in the matter of business relationships, character is very important.  We form lasting relationships in our personal and business lives through loyalty and trust.

CHARACTER GENERATES TRUST.  In business, it's not unusual to rely on that which can be documented or an agent's daily practices:

What is the "closed sales" experience for the past year (types, not numbers)?
Are they full time or part time?
Do they answer their phone or return calls timely?
Do they handle e-mail efficiently?
Do they focus on business and not personal matters.
Do they seek training opportunities beyond the CE hours required by license law?

The above are simple criteria for determining an agent's ability to manage their daily business.
However, once the relationship has been established and the agent is "on board", we get to know the agent's character through their day to day relationship with buyers, how they handle transactions and, most importantly. . . .

WHAT WAS THE AGENT's ACTIONS and BEHAVIOR WHEN THEY MADE A MISTAKE!!!

* Do they notify their broker quickly in matters where risk to the agent/broker are involved?
* Do they admit making a mistake when describing a problem?
* Do they take responsibility for a mistake or bad decision?
* Are they willing to "PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES"?

Over the years I've learned that, when an agent makes a serious mistake in transaction management, if they contact me quickly when the mistake is discovered and work with me to resolve the problem to the best advantage of buyer or seller clients, that is the time I can say I refer prospective home buyers and sellers to him . . . . .

"BECAUSE I TRUST HIM."

                                          Family

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FOLKS REPRESENTED ABOVE!  Helping a home owner or seller is an awesome responsibility.  When I make a buyer or seller referral, I want to KNOW that I can TRUST that agent to provide quality representation for the buyer or seller.

TRUST IS FUNDAMENTAL!

Dale.  I appreciate your thoughtful comment.

There is no better feeling than knowing that a real estate buyer or seller puts their trust in you.

I also love it when they come back to me after many years, which they do.

I'm sure your past clients come back to you too.
