Do You Dip Your Toes or Go Head First? Noone can say that we are experiencing a 'normal' day in Rhode Island real estate on this 63 degree day in January. But my friendly pooch here thinks it is time to test the waters, chase the swans and go after that ever thrown stick into Narragansett Bay off the North Kingstown coastline.
Ginny - Since joining ActiveRain I have seen so many people here that are so motivated to do so much it has definitely inspired me to do more and more. Knowing what everyone else that is successful working here and sharing makes for some great ideas and ways to focus my attention. Figuring out which methods are the best is something that each market differs with. Personalities also play a part in just how we service our clients and just how we work here on AR.
I too am loving this weather.. Let's hope it keeps up! So much easier to show houses in warm...ish weather!
One of my favorites here on ActiveRain is that everybody shares... especially the great photos! Love the pooch... he is certainly a cutie.
Ginny, cleaning up my online presence and getting the spring marketing push going are a priority. This is also the time of year when I look to do my real estate courses as well.
Outstanding post. Thank you for bringing up these thoughts for me. If I am going to do anything in my life, I want to do it full out and with passion. When I die, I want to be totally used up.
I would not put even one little finger in the bay until at least June. I hate cold water. Nice blog.
Ginny, The weather is strangely warm, but we'll take it. We're busier than a typical January, buyers are still out looking :)
Ginny, what fun that dog is having! We experienced 60+ weather this week also, but 1.5" snow last night. Hope our Broncos do well today, but Steelers are a tough team! Have my e-newsletters almost ready to go out next week!
GInny
That's a great analogy for 2012. Wishing you the bst.
Nice to have that weather, huh? That's almost as warm as California at this time of year. We are supposed to be in the 70s today! Ya gotta love it.
Jeff
Ginny - sounds like you have all your bases covered which is no surprise and the reason you are such a successful Realtor in your area of Rhode Island. Don't you love the warmer weather we're having?! Your pup is so cute!
Janis, thanks so much for checking in...
Ed, all my courses are done...cleaning up on line presence needs to be front & cente...best
Joe, what cool thoughts!
Melissa, i'm a sissy like you...
Bliz, isn't it amazing & i'm just loving it.
Joan, i'm routing for your Broncos!
Jeff, back at you too...love the sun & warmth!
Kristine..he's my neighbors but i adore him...
LOVE this Ginny! Most of the water is frozen solid here, but we're cutting open the ice and jumping in anyway! Kind of makes and interesting metaphor when toe dipping isn't possible. All you will get here is a bruised and frozen toe. Might as well go for the gusto, break some ice, and dive in!
Ginny I am ready to dive into 2012, and so far the water has been just fine :)
Kristen, i can't believe it's that cold there...go for it girl!
George...good weather brings good business...
Business planning is so much fun and so hopeful. I do love going in all the way. Thanks for sharing and may 2012 be an excellent year of business for all of us.
Thanks Ginny! Having the right strategies and options are really very important and it really is inspiring seeing and knowing people who became successful using such methods/strategies. Taking the risk is all part of success. Dive in. May we all have a successful and prosperous 2012.
Laurie, it is something one does not do by the seat of the pants.
Katerina, seeing how well your office is organized got me to thinking about presence again in the home office.
Hmmmm....Good thought process analogy as always Ginny.
While continuing to improve our online presence, we want to be more visible in human form rather than electronic.
We want to increase our physical presence, with client pop-bys, and more volunteer work.
By the end of the year we want to produce professional quality video and photo tours.
We often compete for listings, so we feel that being able to present the client's home with the highest quality visual images combined with our knowledge of how to get the property seen on all the social media sites will give us an edge.
Hi Ginny- Like so many others I am diving right in and making my world happen. Too much to do, experience, help with and enjoy to just test the waters. Besides life is so much more exciting when you give it your all. Loving our 65 degree days in January. :0)
I know you've seen my SNIPPETS series. Remember that you can use them unconditionally in things like your "newsletters with items of value."
Hi Ginny, what a cute pooch! Nice motivational post full of good ideas for getting the year off to a good start!
