It's official, or at least one study shows that real estate agents have more accidents than the average driver.  According to the San Francisco-based Quality Planning Corp., an insurance research firm, real estate agents were the 5th worst drivers of 40 professions.

Agents ranked 25th in getting speeding tickets as well as all moving violations.  Both are below average.  The explanation for the divergence of the two numbers would be pure speculation but I'm going to give it a guess.

Agents drive really slow while they are talking on the phone, looking through MLS printouts for addresses, searching for street signs and house numbers.  This causes the number of moving violations to decrease however, they are only looking where they are going about 50% of the time.  That is my hypothesis.
