Apple Pie Says HomeWe are approaching the season when home and house mean family, memories and sharing.

The smell of the turkey in the oven, everyone bustling about and the good smell of that hot apple pie.

There's nothing better than apple pie right out of the oven to give you that warm feeling of home.  Can you smell it?

Many new home owners will be celebrating their first holiday in their new home and this will be the first of many more holidays to come and memories to make. For those new home owners, congratulations, you made a very wise decision.

There is nothing like moving into your new home, and sharing a meal with friends and family.

And there is still time to find that perfect home and move-in before the holidays so that you too, can enjoy your first holiday in your new house.

I'm sure you've heard that this is a home buyer's market where after so many years it is finally YOUR turn. The home buyers today are having the Seller pay for all the closing costs, inspection costs, repair costs and a few other extras, too. There's never been a better time to buy a house.

I liken this time to Christmas morning when everything you ever wanted was there for the taking...that's what a home buyer's market means. It's never been a better time for the home buyer than now.

So, I wish a hot apple pie for you, right out of your own oven in your very own home. I would love to help you find just the right home to build all your future memories in.

Just save a slice of that apple pie for me.

Gena,

Your apple pie caught my eye! Every year my husband and I take a ride to the country and buy apples so I can make apple pie. This year, because the weather stayed warmer later, we did not do it and now I am missing my apple pie! Maybe I will send him this post:)

Sounds like a good time to buy in your area.

Karen, yes apple pie and a home...all go nicely together. Kind of like pie-a-la-mode. In fact, I think I might just use that as the title on my outside blog. Thanks for giving me inspiration.

I had a client who is now a very good friend from Warwick...small world.

Wow.. that pie is killing me.  You and the food network are driving me crazy.

You're so right, there's never been a better time to buy.. just about anywhere.  Huge selection, prices just about as low as they're going to go, in addition to super low rates.  Buyers couldn't be better positioned.

Keep up the good work Gena.

Fred, yes my holiday wish for each of the future home buyers out there is that they get qualified and hook-up with a reputable full time Realtor to get the very best deal on a house before things turn and they find themselves priced out of the market, again.

Super time for all home buyers out there...and still plenty of time to be in their new home for the holidays!

Thanks Fred, for stopping by and commenting.

Gena- You make me ready for the holidays. Buyers often don't factor in the worth of items like having closing costs paid by the selleralong with other costs  and an interest rate buy down.. along with the decline in home prices buyers are really saving a lot of money at this time..

Karen, I can't wait to read your article...glad to help inspire! My clients (friends) live here now and lived Warwick prior to moving here...not real sure where. Saw a photo of their previous home and it was quite lovely, large on some acreage...that's about all I know of Warwick.

Kaye, right on...the current home buyers that I am working with that will be closing tomorrow, not only offered and were accepted for less than the asking price, they will receive $7,800 toward their costs meaning buy down while the Seller will pick up all of the closing costs and an additional $2,000 for carpet allowance not to mention all the repairs ask for.  One heck of a deal for my home buyers...hope to help more home buyers get the house they want for an exceptional value.

Gena - Point well taken. As with the sellers market in 01 - 05 so now is the time for buyers with interest rates still low they would be doing themselves a disservice by waiting too much longer. Even if prices still decline slightly we never can be assured that the interest rates will stay down.

Judy, you are so right...interest rates are great and with the current prices of homes there has never been a better time for the buyers. But, as you said, even with prices of homes at an all time low, if interest rates start creeping back up it will not be the same great senario as it is today.
