Distressed Homes, Distressed Home Owners and Distressed Cats

Started out to be a great Sunday.  I was meeting new Buyers and showing them a Short Sale.  Oh what a depressing property.  A distressed horse farm is sad.  Imagine a horse standing in its own poop, confined to an area about 800 square feet.  So sad to see.  Wonder what will happen to that horse after the Short Sale.  Do I really want to know?  I mean, who keeps a horse to that small an area when they have over 10 acres?

The home and property looked like a fit, so my Buyers are thinking it over.  It does need some TLC, but the bones appear to be good.  Meanwhile, I am typing this post at the emergency vet because our handsome outdoor guy, Gray Kitty, got into a brawl last night and had his right front limb fairly well tenderized by a feral cat.  At least I know my new Droid tablet works.

Gotta run.  Gray Kitty is full of meds and ready for the ride home.

Sounds like a hard day.... I hope things work out for you and your cat.

Chris Ann, sorry about your cat.

Why not include the neglected horse in the purchase if the buyer likes horses and can take better care of it?  Would it create a problem for the appraisal?

Your post looks like you're busier than usual.  Re-read it when you're not rushed.

Oh poor kitty.  I hope he is on the mend soon.  Those kitties do like to get into it.  It is tricky using other devices on active rain.  I am using my hubby's laptop at the kitchen table while cooking dinner and watching the Broncos.  Not the same as my trusty desktop.

I hope your kitty is alright. You should have your buyers ask for the horse as part of the sale. It deserves somneone who will treat it right. Have a great Sunday

Debbie:  Kitty is fine.  He's stoned on pain meds and feeling MUCH better.  Confined to the garage so he doesn't get in anymore trouble while he's healing.

Lloyd:  Caught a few errors and fixed them.  Will check it one more time.

Belinda:  I LOVE my desktop, which is where I am now.  The keyboard is a solar powered one and I love the feel of the keys.

Scott:  I have a feeling that the owners will want to make the horse a cash deal on the side.  Unfortunately, as they have left it ungroomed and depressed, it's not looking like a great buy.

Hope Gray Kitty has a quick recovery.  I'd be calling PWC Animal Control to come out and review the situation with the horse.  Never good to leave a horse standing in it's own feces.  Hoof rot and worse happens.

Cindy:  Thanks for the suggestion.  That was the sadest looking horse I've seen in a while.

couple year ago CA law made "the first person in" responsible for handling abandoned animals in abandoned houses.  It's cats and dogs out here, not horses.  "The first person in" is often the REO agent.

Lloyd:  That's depressing to think about.  I don't care what kind of animal it is, it's sad that anyone would leave them behind.

So sad about the horse. I would turn em in. Hoping your baby has a speedy recovery!

Cheryl:  He was sacked out Sunday and Monday.  This afternoon he seems like himself again.  That means he's back outside where he longs to be.  I know he isn't feeling well when he's not begging to go out by the front door.
