Janis - What is up with this crazy weather. Last winter we were snowed in and tonight I had the sliders open (of course, I think I was having one of those personal power surges too). The full moon is beautiful too. Our Navy daughter and I have a thing about the moon. When she left for boot camp a couple of years ago, she knew I would miss her. She left me a note and told me that whenever I was missing her to look at the moon and she would look too. It helped alot. Now we just text each other and say "I see it" and the other one knows what they mean!
Beautiful shot - enjoy the warm temps!!

Hi Cyndi..... I too was in the Navy in my previous career many many moons ago. I was a Navy Nurse and.. the moon at Subic Bay, well it looked just the same as it does here. Thanks for stopping by, and tonight it did get a bit colder.
Janis you caught a great shot of the full moon! We were coming from Church late yesterday afternoon by the time we got to the truck the moon to grab the camera the moon had risen quickly and the Sandia Mountain had turned from it's beautiful sunset / moonrise purple to a dark gray. We missed a great shot but sure had a wonderful view. Thanks for sharing with us.
John- Tomorrow is another day.. of course you need to be prepared. Having a smaller camera is so great to snap up those shots. Don't leave the camera in the car is my motto, although i do forget it many times...
thanks for stopping by!
Hi Janis, This is a BEAUTIFUL photograph and a GREAT post! I didn't take time to check New York and "New England weather" last week because I was too busy preparing for a freeze in Florida. Someone mentioned to me that temperatures up there were warmer than normal while we were literally having freezing temperatures here. You are right, CRAZY weather!
Wonderful shot at the moon and I love looking at the sky through "Naked" trees. I happen to one of the few who really likes cold weather.
Loving your photo and the warm weather Janis. I hope you have a great 2012. :)

The Moon Over New York looks pretty much the same in your neck of the woods. I only wish it was still warm. WE are down to weather that has hit a cold spell. No snow yet, but it is January and i'm sure that we are meant for some snow at some point. I just pray that the I get out of NY that first week of February as we are headed to Cancun.. Now if you knew me you would be assured that more photos are on the way.... maybe a blog on MOON over Cancun..
