With Barbara Favola’s election to the Virginia Senate, an open seat is now available on the Arlington County Board. At least six candidates have filed to run for the seat. Candidates have agreed to participate in a local candidates night cosponsored by Leeway Overlee. The event takes place the evening of Tuesday, January 10th. Below is the information provided by the Madison Manor Civic Association for this event. This is likely your best opportunity to meet those running, many of whom may not be well known in the community.

Who will be the next Arlington County Board member? Come participate in the process!
Candidates will arrive at 7:00 to meet with the community and enjoy light refreshments. The debate will begin promptly at 7:30. Questions must be submitted in advance and will be drawn in random order as time permits. Questions will be randomly assigned to candidates. Each candidate will make a brief opening statement and closing statement. You may submit questions to dhramp@yahoo.com or bring them in advance on an index card (please include your full name).
