#1 Reason To Buy Now: Home sale activity is increasing. This January 2012, it’s up an entire 12% from last year.  Your dream home at the perfect price could be sitting on the market, up for grabs, today.  Don’t let it escape you: start looking for your new home to buy today.

 

 

 

#2 Reason to Sell Now: Weather isn’t a factor, so don’t let the snow deter you from selling.  If you’re a seller, your prospective buyers will be starting their search online.  The vast majority of homebuyers shopping online means you can reach them in any weather condition, anytime.

 

 

 

#3 Reason To Sell Now: Don’t wait until spring. Spring is just around the corner, when traditional home buying starts.  It’s when families are settling in for the new school year, and when the grass is starting to grow.  And since it takes the average home buyer three months to find their home, a house listed today has a much better chance of selling in the spring than if you actually wait till spring.  Also, fewer houses are sold in January, meaning that it’s a lot easier for your home to attract a buyer.

Good info, thanks for sharing.  I think the "time to buy" message comes across to the public as just a plead for an agent to get sales activity going.  You might want to consider revising the message from "now is the right time to buy" to something that suggests a client give it thought but isn't drawn to a conclusion by reading the title of the blog.  "Have you considered buying (or selling) in January?"  Something like that, then back it up with this good info!
