Kitchen renovation

Do you have cracked or broken counter tops and plan on selling your Aurora house? It's best to get them fixed beforehand. The kitchen and bathroom both act as major selling features for your home and you should do everything possible to keep them looking great.

How visible is the problem?

If your counter top is obviously damaged you're going to have to repair or replace it. If, however, you have a hard time seeing the problem, you really don't need to worry about it. Everything doesn't have to be absolutely perfect before selling your Aurora house, it is just the major things that stick out that will need to be handled.

Can they be repaired?

It depends on the damage. In many cases small cracks and chips can be fixed professionally without repairing the whole counter top. Before selling your Aurora house, look for a counter top repair professional and ask for a consultation. If it can be repaired, you'll save a ton of money. Counter tops aren't cheap and nowadays there are ways to fix small problems on them without having to replace the whole piece.

You definitely need to fix your counter tops before selling your Aurora house if the problem is obvious. This is in fact one of the most important things you can do to improve the looks of the bathroom and kitchen. Just consider how much money you'll save if by repairing these counter tops it leads to a quick sale?

If you have any questions at all about your counter top, ask your real estate agent to take a look at it. He'll be able to tell you whether you should do something about it or whether it will not be an important factor when selling your Aurora house.

Nicer counter tops can go a long way in a sale. Anything to make a kitchen shine.

Chris & Patty: Great post- it's true, some things can be overlooked, but not in a room that's used pretty much every day of the year.  Thanks for sharing!

Chuck, Female buyers are first to notice the counter tops. Bad counter tops can ruin a beautiful kitchen.

Andrew,  good point..the kitchen is used every day and usually all day. Every time I clean mine I say "yep, time to replace them".
