NO FAQ'S!...I Want Your Opinion...Help Me Become A Better Real Estate Trainer!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Talk 2 Midori, LLC BK645709

One of the things I love about being a Real Estate Trainer is helping associates to be better.  While I strive for them to be the best as a trainer, my job really is about making people better.

A better Real Estate Professional, a better webmaster a better business manager.  It's all about being better.

I love it when I take the time to teach someone how to do something for them to do it better than myself.

I am a true trainer, I step back and watch it all unfold.

There is so much I have gained from blogging on the rain...I read...I post....I comment.

I have formed friendships, bonds and skills that helped to take me to the next level.

I belong to many networks, at times I feel overwhelmed and pressured when I do not post.

NO FAQ'S...I want your opinion...Help me become a better real estate trainer.

I come to the community today for help and your opinion.

Friday I am putting on a training for our company called....."Your Computer is Your Friend!"

As a community I come to you today to remember when you were new at blogging.

  • In your opinion what was the best advice you received from a seasoned blogger
  • How many networks do you belong to?
  • How often do you post?
  • Do you have trouble maintaining all of your blogs and do you duplicate your content or post different content on each site every time you post?
  • What are your favorite widgets
  • Are you receiving the results that you are looking for?

I have noticed many Real Estate Professionals really hate doing Internet marketing.

Many real estate professionals have difficulty keep up with it and most of all do not experience the level of success on the web that they would envision.

Anything that you have to offer will be appreciated!  There is a good chance you will be part of my training.

I hope you get a large response. I post about 3-4 times a week on three different blogs. I do not duplicate content so coming up with different topics is a little more of a challenge for me. I will keep an eye out for your responses. I do read blogs and try to comment on as many as I can every day.

I think " Real Estate Professionals really hate doing Internet marketing. Many real estate professionals have difficulty keep up with it and most of all do not experience the level of success on the web that they would envision."  Is a great point and very true.  Mostly because it can seem like a bunch of other tasks which keeps the person tied in front of computer screen.  I believe providing a basic makeup of what "internet marketing" looks like, how to tie it together, and efficient methods of execution needs to become a part of training.  I see many who have even "doubled and tripled up" on many services and don't even see the costs.  Or they have one service and are not fully aware of its functionality and purchase another service to provide that function.

Not exactly answers to your questions, but some additional thoughts:

Spend time reading and looking at other people's blogs.  Think about what you like/don't like.

Spend time thinking about what you want, and how you search for information, when you are the consumer.  When I'm the consumer, I basically want real information .... not sales pitches .....  I don't want to jump through a bunch of registration hoops to get access to the information .....

Cheryl-Honestly I accept all feedback and take it into consideration and you do share vital points.  You are so right to make sure and look at it through the consumer's eyes.  Thank you so much...another great pointer.

  • In your opinion what was the best advice you received from aseasoned blogger?  I was taught to take a walk in the rain by some one who roars!!!!!
  • How many networks do you belong to?  Just this one.
  • How often do you post?Dan Forbes just asked what the dif is between post and blog.  I respond to blogs 4 of 7 days a week.  I might blog 2 times a month...
  • What are your favorite widgets  I've just opened up the Widget-Lounge.  Hope every one can park their favorite widgets/widget links there.  I would personally like to figure out the one that scrolls down the titles of your blog, like Dan Forbes has.
  • Are you receiving the results that you are looking for?  I'm growing smarter every day and meeting awesome personalities here.  I'm not gaining any clients, but I do feel I'm achieving excellent results!  When I have some one to refer, I'll look here first!

  • In your opinion what was the best advice you received from a seasoned blogger?
    • Points matter.  Get on the leader board and then really blog for business
  • How many networks do you belong to?
    • One now.  In the learning stage I think it's better to be good at one and then learn to replicate your success rather than scattershot out to too much.
  • How often do you post?
    • Comments every day and post 3 times a week or so.  Goal is to get to 10
  • What are your favorite widgets
    • The only ones I'm using so far are the bloglogroll and feedjit
  • Are you receiving the results that you are looking for?
    • Yes, I'm learning to do Internet marketing.  Since that was my first goal it's more than being met.  The side result is I'm already smarter at my job because of the collective knowledge and need to articulate my position.  Go figure!

Josette-I love all your responses and you are right...I am so much smarter and feel so much stronger...imagine real estate professionals sharing their skills.  Who would have ever thought?

Interesting to note:  Several  commenters responded as if the questions were in reference to Active Rain blogs.  Others responded as if the questions were in reference to blogs outside of Active Rain.

I love Active Rain.  But I also know it is different here than in the outside world.  So I'd think you need to sort the answers into the two different categories.
