In the name of transparency - and also because we are serious geeks :) - we put together a live map application that shows the visitors as they arrive to different RealBird services of our members. It is embedded below and it works in modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, IE9 etc.) and old ones like IE7, IE8 etc. too. Android and iOS tablets and smartphones are supported as well

We think this map analytics app is pretty cool ! What do you think?

:) Thanks Sherry ! The map shows only a subset of the actual traffic as there are limitations on how much we can add to the map. Every other seconds, it checks for the latest few visits and shows those. There might have been more in between. Having that said, statistically, it will show locations that are the most active. 

I have this map now running on an iPad on a stand next to my work computer's screen. It's fun to watch it as it happens live :)

Thanks John. And also for confirming that IE9 worked for you (it did for us too in our test). I remember seeing your service popping up on the map during the day (I stared way too much on this map today, it's kind of relaxing :)

It's neat to see how consumers on the west cost are getting active at the morning. I looked at the map at 7 AM Pacific time and most of the traffic was from the East Coast, the icons clustered mostly there. Now it's 8:10 AM Pacific, and more and more visitor traffic is popping up from the West Coast as people are going online here
