Holiday marketing - offer something for FREE?!?!

By
Real Estate Agent with Luxury Texas Living

While chatting with a marketing guru this past week, she said that it is important to offer potential clients something for FREE.   As I go about creating another mail-out, I am focusing in on FREE.   For Halloween, my postcard had a quick and easy pumpkin cupcake recipe on the front.   For Thanksgiving, it is a homemade Cranberry Sauce recipe.   I'm already thinking about Christmas and have hit a brick wall.   Do I create another recipe card or offer Holiday tips?

I would LOVE to get some feedback here on what has worked for other Realtors?   Getting a thread like this started can offer some invaluable information for us all.

Thanks and Happy Monday

Stacey ~ You could team up with a home stager and offer a FREE staging consultation!

Excellent idea Kathy.   I am a Home Stager, but creating a FREE consultation card may be the perfect way to get business.   Thanks!

Stacy ~ How about offering simple Decorating Tips that anyone can do to make their home festive and glamorous for the Holidays.  For Example:  Take a crystal punch bowl, add a string of tiny battery operated lights (Michaels), then place brightly colored glass ornaments on top and set on table with a scrunched table runner underneath and use as the center piece.  One of my clients even did this in her guest bathroom with a floral arrangement of top.  She keeps it out all year.

The free consult is good for you especially that you are a Realtor/stager - verbal consults are the way to go here rather than a written report.  Or provide a "punch list" of general comments for your clients to follow for general staging practices you could put "call me for your free checklist of staging tips and tricks". I've got one posted on my blog I've shared with other members and you are free to take what you want from it too.

How is this marketing going for you?  I love recipes, wondering how your farming is going with this.
