Donna, I am glad that you got to check it out. They have worked really hard to put it together.  My cabin is the second one on the right when you pull into the lodge.  The concept came from a time that we were in Devil's Tower Wyoming.  We had been riding all day and came across a hunting lodge in the middle of nowhere.   After eating some great food and drinking all of their beer, we came up with the idea of doing this in North GA.  Of course, after a few beers this seemed like an easy task. A few months later, I got a call saying that they bought 40 acres for Copperhead Lodge.

The food is great, the people are awesome, great concerts too.   I predict Donna will be buying a "hog" in the future.

BTW, great post and slideshow.

Jeff:  Well, I'm not sure about the "hog" but I could certainly be one in the dining room there.  I really thought this place was so pretty and clean.  Looks like so much fun.  I am pretty sure I saw your cabin, if you mean the second one when you come through the entrance.  I like it up near the entrance but  it is really pretty off back in the woods too. The cabins are so nice with the separate garages.  What a novel idea for the mountains and ya'll found a fantastic location.

Don't forget about my referral fee when you sell out the place!!!!!!!!!!  Seriously, they need someone to take some interest in selling those park models for them.   They can cash flow or they can be an affordable get away for anyone wanting to live in the mountains.

Remember, to get 5 more closings, all you have to do is sell 5 cabins at www.copperheadlodge.com

Did you meet Warren, Dave, Tom or Lori?

Jeff:  Is it just for bikers?  I know the dining hall etc. is open to anyone but are the cabins just for bikers?  I see that the garages are to accommodate bikes.  There was hardly anyone there when I stopped in because I went fairly early on Sunday morning.  There was a very nice young lady who allowed me to take pictures inside but I did not get her name.  I didn't see anyone else while I was there.  V

Carole:  I was very impressed with how well laid out and clean this place is.  The lodge is beautiful and what a great idea to have a place especially for our beloved bikers.  We have a lot of bikers come through the mountains riding for various charities and doing all sorts of great things.  We just love them.

Charles:  Those were the days but bugs in your teeth!  I do remember in my early twenties riding around on one with my then boyfriend.  It was quite an experience.  Bikes have come a long way since the one I was used to riding on.

Donna:  Being a biker is not a requirement, just putting up with Dave is the only requirement.  HA HA.  The theme is motorcycle and concert related since the roads in North GA, NC and TN are some great places to ride.  There is a road north of the Lodge in NC and TN called Tail of the Dragon. It is at Deal's Gap and has 318 curves in 11 miles.   Great place to ride.

Jeff:  I've heard about Tail of the Dragon and I know it can be quite dangerous.  Have heard of some accidents there.  I have a list of others like Thunder Road, NC28 Fontana to Cashiers; US441 - Great Smokies, TN 73 - Little River Road; Foothills Parkway, Bat Cave - Chimney Rock Run; North Georiga Gap; I suppose you have ridden these.  There is Cherokee County Cycles in Andrews North Carolina that rents Harley's and cabins too.  Looks like they offer and entire line of anything a biker would want.  I walked up to a group of bikers not long ago and handed out business cards.  I was a bit apprehensive, walking into a crowd like that, but they were as nice as you would want them to be and started asking a lot of questions about real estate.  I had a blast talking to them.  We love our bikers in the mountains!  I think it is so cool to see a group of them riding down the road.

I have ridden many of those roads.   They are all a bit dangerous if you are not paying attention.  You can be the realtor to the bikers!!!!!!   Most of the bikers that you will see riding up there have a great deal of disposable income and great paying jobs, keep giving out those cards and adding them to your database.

Jeff:  Maybe I've found my niche, finally! "Realtor to the Bikers!"  I think that would be such a kick!

Donna,

Great post on community and localism on the Georgia Mountains. If I had a Harley I'd ride there. It must be a great feeling riding a motorcycle through the Georgia Mountains on the way to Copperhead Lodge.

Mike, I have ridden there many times and love it.  You don't need a bike to enjoy it though.

Mike:  This is one of the neatest places I've seen lately.  Neatest in terms of just plain cool and also really neat and clean.  Jeff Payne told me about it because he has a cabin there and so I took a field trip recently and checked it out.  The lodge is very nice and the food smelled super delicious.  I can't wait to go back with a bunch of family and friends and try it out!

Donna, did you buy that Harley yet?   Better yet, just by a cabin and hang out with the bikers.  Hope you had a great Christmas.

Hi Jeff:  I've been meaning to email you just to say hello but the Christmas rush ran right over me!  Haven't had much time for AR.  Maybe after New Year's.  No Harley yet, maybe I can just hitch a ride on one once in awhile LOL.

Lori:  What a nice invitation and I would absolutely love to come but I'm out of town through New Year's.  I will talk to you after the new year and come by later on to meet you.  I am looking forward to it and Jeff has spoken very highly of you both.  Happy New Year and I'll be there in spirit!

Jeff:  eeek!  A tattoo  LOL.  I just saw a 70 plus year old woman with a tatto that she had gotten years ago.  Not a pretty sight at all!  Although, I might consider having the word Realtor blazened across my forehead!  Wonder how that would affect business?!   But now the Harley and leathers are an interesting possibility.  Jeff, you better jump on that hogg and get up here for the New Year's par tay!
