Do you know the other business people who serve your customers? If not, why not?
I don't mean just the mortgage lenders, title officers, and others who help facilitate your transactions. I mean the people who own and operate other businesses that serve the consumers in your territory.
Think hairdresser, cafe owner, mechanic, and grocer. Think landscaper, photographer, pet groomer, and day care operator.
All of those people know and interact with the people who are your potential clients.
So get acquainted with them. Put yourself in a position that will cause them to mention your name or hand out your card any time one of their customers mentions real estate.
How?
- By offering to help them build their businesses.
- By being interested in what they're doing and offering to tell your clients and customers about them.
