Helping Another After Losing One That You Love Here in Charlotte, NC

Judith - when my sweet boy * Cuervo * went to heaven, I lasted less than 48 hours before I had replacement "fur" in my house.  Our pets are such a joy and great for relaxing and enjoying life!

Hi Judith, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your buddy over the holidays.  I put my kitty of 16 years down earlier in December.  She was a rescue cat, and I miss her greatly.  I give you a lot of credit for diving in and helping another critter.  I am not quite ready to do that. When I do it will be another older cat from the pound. I wish you all the best and you have a very big heart!

Judith I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Babe.  I do believe that God takes care of all his creatures and Babe is having a blast playing with countless other critters in a much better place.  It takes a strong person and loving heart to take on foster pets so quickly after loosing their Babe!  I can't imagine doing it personally.  Stay strong and let us know how your foster care goes.

I'm not sure if everyone knows the emotional language of dogs...or how they come to live with us and teach us. My two rescued furry-pals remind me of this each day. And I have learned to stay present.... even through the tears....

My heart goes out to you...and then again...thanks for opening your heart to a new foster dog...

Judith, I'm so sorry for your loss of Babe. I'm so close to my babies, I feel I would just die. (I just did a post about our babies.) You are very kind and loving to reach out for Angus. I'm hoping he recovers quickly, and you find his new furever home soon.

Judith - so sorry about Babe, it is so sad when a member of our family leaves!  Our hearts are big and although Babe is special there is always room to open the door for more new loves to come.  What a great way to start the healing with a special saved dog to help find his way to love again as well.  Looking forward to heartwarming stores and laughs.

Judith.  Angus looks like trouble.  I love him.  He has that look in his eye saying "Yes I'm cute but just wait and see what I can do".  reminds me of Rocky in that regard.  I'm so glad you are opening your home to another needy friend.  Let us know how it goes.  I can't wait to hear how Angus gets along with the rest of the gang.
