14 Comments on Movie Mondays: My Top 10 Favorite Sci-Fi Movies
I saw avatat in 3D in was amazing ..it is up there in my all time favorites and of course Star Wars
Hannah~ It must have been incredible in 3D.
Where's ET? I've got to agree with you on Close Encounters, but I thought 2001 was really boring. And, LOVED all of the Star Wars movies. I haven't seen Avatar yet, Donna - I don't do movie theaters and have the attention span of a gnat, so I don't do movies much at all, LOL.
Hi Juli~ I thought about adding ET to the list. Maybe I have 11 favorites! LOL! Avatar is worth watching if you can sit still. While I've been recovering I've been watching a lot of movies, it's better than TV.
I just LOVED Avatar, Donna! We got it on loan from a friend and we were skeptical... Turns out we liked it so much we bought it and have watched it many times since. And as for Alien - remember the first time you saw it? I remember how totally freaky the scene at dinner was (after the astronaut comes out of the coma)? Ewww!
Jennifer~ I enjoyed the strong female characters in both movies!
Donna, The Matrix series has to figure in there somewhere for me. The special effects still kick butt! Bill
Sorry Bill, didn't care for The Matrix. I'll agree that the special effects were incredible, but not my kind of movie.
Oh yes, I agree w/ Juli, where is ET? That's the best one.
When it comes to books I think Michael Crighton is tops! (but I can't say I loved seeing those made into movies).
OK, OK! I apologize. I should have included ET. I beg forgiveness!
Hi Donna, pretty good list but I too think ET has to be included..... I am going to buy Avatar for my new blue ray DVD player it should be amazing.
Hello Markita~ I'm getting really "beat up" about not including ET. Should I revise the list? Avatar our your blue ray should be fantastic!
Fir me it was Predator hands down. I prefer the first one to the second one. I also like Predator vs. Alien. Get pictures to watch with...you guessed it, the older grandchildren.
Suesan~ I liked the first one with Arnold and the second one with Danny Glover. I also enjoyed Predator vs. Alien. Of course, I liked all the Alien movies too!
