Welcome to Sumerset Condominiums in Pomona, New York. This development is also called Buckingham Court.
This townhouse complex was built in 1977. It consists of three level townhouses and one level condominiums.
The units have 2 bedrooms and between 1.5 and 2.5 bathrooms. The square footage of these townhomes is between 1062 square feet and 1427 square feet. Many townhomes have finished basements with a family room and this adds to your living space considerably.
These units have parking spaces located near them.
There are one to only a few steps to climb to enter the first floor of your townhome, where your eat-in-kitchen, dining room, living room and a half bath are located. This makes it convenient for people to bring their groceries and other purchases into their home without climbing many steps.
The units have washers and dryers in them and plenty of storage.
Most of the townhomes have a master bedroom with its own master bath and a second bedroom and second full bath on the second floor. Some of them have only one bathroom on the second floor, shared by both bedrooms.
These townhomes are sunny, light and bright.
The units have sliders that lead to spacious decks.
There are many trees and the landscaping is lush. The views of mountains from this complex are spectacular.
Amenities include a beautiful pool with dramatic mountain views, a kiddie pool, a basketball court and a tot lot.
Residents of this complex are close to transportation, shopping, and restaurants.
Pomona is close to Route 202 and the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP). It is a short trip on the PIP to the NYS thruway (Route 87)which leads east to the Tappan Zee bridge to Westchester and Connecticut, or west to I-287 and New Jersey. There are many commuter options available when living in Pomona, including a ferry that goes from Haverstraw, NY to Ossining, NY where you can take the railroad into New York City or NYC bus transportation.
Pomona has a variety of shopping, restaurants and golf courses.
Residents living in Pomona can enjoy all of Haverstraw's facilities, including beautiful Bowline Point Park and the Haverstraw Marina. Bowline Point Park is a special treat. It has tennis courts, a waterslide, an adult pool, a kiddie pool, a sprinkler park, picnic and barbecue areas, playgrounds and great views of mountains and the Hudson River. Harverstraw Marina has a pool by the Hudson that you can enjoy, with a membership fee. It has a restaurant there, too. I have enjoyed a number of meals at the restaurant, sitting outside and watching the sailboats on the river float by.
As a pet lover I am happy to say that pets are allowed!
At the time of the writing of this article there are 3 townhomes on the market in Buckingham Court. They are 2 bedroom tri-levels, ranging in asking price from $189,000 to $250,000.
Four townhouses sold in 2011, ranging in price from $153,000 to $230,000.
