We’ve had a windstorm where we are. A lot of us are without power. Not a lot of people were hurt, but quite a bit of property damage occurd. Most people in the area are without power roads are blocked and traffic is moving slowly.

Matt had a tree come down and take out his fence. My parents had two trees take out fences in their yard; my grandmother as well had two large trees come down causing damage. I sat blissfully by nothing happening to me.  I expect that we’ll all be back up online by Monday at the latest.

In the mean time, take care.  :)

Caleb.... my thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family, and everyone else out there. I haven't been paying attention to the news or the weather. So I don't know how bad this is.  The way you talked, it doesn't seem as bad. Others on here make it sound like it was serious. I guess I have to turn on the weather channel now.  Good luck and keep us posted.

Caleb and Other RAIN Gods, We all wish you well and hope the damage is not too severe. And they say there is no global warming! I think that all of us have experienced a difference in our weather ... perhaps we need to take heed. Take care and glad to know that none of you were hurt in the storm.

Hey Caleb! Just got power back on here on the Kitsap Peninsula. We're feeling pretty lucky, given that over 500,000 PSE customers are still without power. And it just keeps getting colder out there. 32 degrees here in Silverdale!

Caleb, we were without power for about 4 hours as well. We lost it just before Survivor started (I'm a hopeless junkie) and it didn't come back until after midnight.

..and lately I was whining about how few electrical outlets we have--it seems every new item requires its very own plug. I guess I'll keep quiet about that!

Seriously though..nature can be awesome. Glad you're ok!

No wonder my latest post isn't featured!  Actually, there have been no featured posts since this one, nearly a day ago, so I hope you all get through it fine.  Somehow, in the meantime, Carol's Cleveland Blog seems to have, shall I say, blown away in the storm?  It's like she's just, well, gone?

Never lost power at my house, but lost my Internet connection (just came back).  Still will be a few days before we get power back at the office I'm sure.

Still don't have power at my house.  Working out of the Seattle Public Library (links to pics... pretty cool building) with the rest of east side displaced internet junkies.  It's actually kind of funny... I don't think I've seen this many net junkies and homeless people in one room before (not that they're really easy to distinguish between).

They say we'll have power back on Sunday.  Hopefully.  I mean - winter camping is fun and all but... could use a shower soon.  :)

GLOBAL WARMING gets personal. My sister lives on Washington Lake in Seattle and she has to drive to Queen Ann for a cup of coffee. Maybe this photo will remind you of warmer times. Be safe!

Hope you have power now...mine came on around 1:30am today but still half of my apartment is missing power. I had to get creative with my working power outlets with extension cords and surge protectors to get my football on TV :) but down to the last bit of under-roos because my washing machine still isn't working (odd this is that my dryer does) ah well...Must eat out alot (fridge & stove not working either) until it turns on...good thing my tablet is working and my neighbor has wireless that that they are letting me use until my internet comes back online :) Power outages are not near as cool as when I was a kid...hope you all are safe :)

Thanks for the featured post guys, when you got back (sort of) up and running.  Ben, I'm not sure why you wouldn't work in that library all the time?!
