6 Comments on The High Cost of Commuting
I can relate to that living in and around Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. . some days traffic is unbearable
Wear and tear on a car has to be taken in to consideration too.
Makes sense to live closer to work...or find work closer to home. One year my commute hours equalled 3 weeks...all that time would make a nice vacation or time spent with family! Now I work from home which IS the best way to do it!
Nice blog, Laurie Murray! Beth McIntyre
Of course being stalled in traffic for hours takes its toll on your health. If you can not afford to live closer to work atleast try and live close to public transportation that can get you to work.
If you are close to your job, buy a bicycle , it is good exercise as well, as getting fresh air.
