This is one of those wonderful homes that makes me think of the quote, "Don't judge a book by its cover." From the infamous curb, you might think plain ole ranch style house built in the 1960s. You're right... it's a ranch style... but it's not so plain. (This is the "not-so-plain" back yard).

A brand new roof was just installed in July, and this dock is only about 4 years old. The seller laid a natural slate "bric/brac" seawall. This beautiful place is called Pitts Bayou, and it opens into East Bay, which then goes without any obstacles (no bridges) into the INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY.
The interior of the home still reflects the care and family lifestyle of the original owners. You won't believe the beauty of the HARDWOOD FLOORS in the living room, dining room, and three large bedrooms.
Did you notice the wonderful view of the bayou from the FRONT ENTRY where this photo was taken? The entry has a slate tiled floor with steps down to this formal living room/dining room.
The kitchen and great room have berber carpet, high ceilings, surround sound built in, and so much more.

Did I mention there are soooo many cabinets in the bright, open kitchen. NOTE: The VINTAGE microwave! The dishwasher and stove were updated! Those tall cabinets will hold many important items. The great room has a huge brick hearth, built in bookcases, and a solid wood desk.
Last but not least (in terms of my favorite photos of all time) is this photo of the bayou from the new dock.

WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE TO SPEND YOUR DAYS!
Waterfront on Pitts Bayou in the popular Eastern Area of Bay County in the City of Parker. This quiet established neighborhood boasts of larger than average homes with boat docks on the peaceful bayou just a short distance to the deep waters of East Bay with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. This home will surprise you inside. The front entry foyer with picture window and slate floor steps down to the living/dining room and the great room. The focus of the living and dining areas is the beautiful waterfront view. The hardwood floors, elevated ceilings, and open floor plan with large windows make this home bright and inviting. The great room features a brick wall fireplace with solid slate hearth surrounded by recessed bookcases and a solid wood desk area the entire width of the room under the large front windows. The kitchen has been updated with corian countertops and an abundance of solid hardwood cabinets. The laundry room off the kitchen is large and has a half bath, and there is an exterior door to the covered carport area for convenience. In the master bedroom is a very large walk-in closet and master bathroom. Each bedroom is larger than average and the windows have plantation style shutters. The decor of the home could easily be updated giving the new owner the opportunity to decorate to their heart's desire! The back yard features a huge deck with glass doors from the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom, and features mature landscaping with full azaleas, plush lawn, sea wall, and newer dock extending into the bayou. There is a storage/utility room under the carport with well pump providing water for the lawn. The home is protected by hurricane shutters and a security system for safety. A new roof was just intalled in July, 2007 with full warranty. $420,000.
