Wool Rug Braiding
Saturdays, January 14th, 21st, and 28th, 2012, 10:00am - 1:00pm
Fee:  $63.00 (Tuition $36.00 + Kit $27.00)
This is the perfect class for beginners to learn the art of braided wool or for those who want a refresher course.  In this class the project will be a chair pad.  But once you have learned the technique you can go on to make larger items, even a new rug for your living room! Instructor, Diane Ellis, will contact students regarding color preferences.  If you do not wish to purchase the kit, a supplies & materials list will be provided.

Pansy Wall Hanging
Saturday, January 21, 2012 10:00am – 3:00pm
Tuition:  $30
Patti Simpson will teach you how to make a beautiful pansy wall hanging using machine piecing & quilting techniques.  You will create the picture, then layer, quilt and bind.  Some beginning quilting/sewing experience needed.  Don’t have a sewing machine to bring to class?  The Textile Studio has several available for you to use.  Just let us know if you need to use one of our machines when you register.  This class will be offered again on March 1, 2012.

Carol, the Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center sounds wonderful.  I've always wanted to take a class or two doing something 'artsy'...  What a great hyper-local post showing your love of everything in the Appalachian Mountains!
