A very comprehensive list, Regina. I'm coming to your next Open House!
My only caveat is the Prize Drawing... check your State Laws first.
thanks for the kudos... with the prize drawing, I don't think there's any law against giving away a gift basket, I've only heard of regulations when people have to pay to enter the prize drawing. But I guess there are IRS taxes to pay (by the recipient) if you're giving away something really valuable such as a vacation getaway.
Regina, this is quite a list! The only thing I would add to the list is Hershey's Kisses. I put them in a bowl next to the sign in sheet and materials about the house.
Sharon I love the idea of chocolate or candy in a bowl... as long as the kids don't get it on their fingers and "accidently" wipe their hands off on the white curtains!
Geepers, Regina. You are involved in practically everything. This sounds like a very cool opportunity. Open houses = buyers = closings. We love closings!
That's a big list but don't forget your contract to purchase. That's whay we go to all the trouble!
Connie, I do recommend having at least 2 paper offers and also bringing a laptop so you can write up an offer paperlessly! Good point.
Wow what a list. Do you really get that kind of activity on an open house. Many times I am lucky to get 2 or 3 visitors. Seems like a waste to have all the refreshments, except for the bowl of kisses mentioned earlier.
Debora, if you don't do any marketing before hand, you are correct that there won't be many guests. That's why your marketing & prep are so critical! Thanks for stopping by to comment.
