My Very First Blog - Getting Rid of the Clutter

Reblogger
Mortgage and Lending with Soho Mortgage Ltd

HI Julie...wow, you are a wonderful writer!

Clutter will kill a deal - going to see a house will personal effects, and old shoes and purses bursting out of closets causes me to quickly head for the front door. Getting stuff moved into storage not only makes space look bigger, better and cleaner, but also makes it easier to see yourself living in the space. Way to go Jules...great blogging!!!!

A client from Vancouver called and asked me to sell her father's condo in Toronto.   I said, of course, I would be glad to help.  The next day I met her at his place.  What I saw was horrifying... Actually, more to the point was what I couldn't see:  the counters, the floors, the tables, the closets, the shelving.  There was so much clutter that you basically couldn't see ANYTHING!!   I told her that before we could even think of listing the unit we had to de-clutter it.   For four days the two of us worked at getting rid of anything and everything that wasn't absolutely needed.  We made dozens of trips to the recycling and garbage bins and as many trips to Goodwill.  Then, with a fresh coat of paint and clean carpets, the condo looked gorgeous and ready to sell.

Potential Buyers may have a hard time seeing what could, under better circumstances, be the right place for them.   They are so busy looking at the Seller's "stuff" that they can't see the unit itself.  So, if you're looking to sell your home, get rid of everything!

I will help organize and de-clutter your home.  It's all part of my service.  I want you to get the most money you can and attract the most potential buyers possible... and I am more than willing to help you make your home spotless and clutter free!

Thank you for reading my very first blog!  Also, thanks to Elyse Berman of Delray Beach, Florida, for inviting me to join Active Rain.  If you have pets and are looking for a place to live in South Florida, Elyse is the one to call.  And thanks to Kristi and Abe at Active Rain for helping me get my blog going.

I'll write again soon!
