Trusting After a Major Car Accident When I Was Six Years Old

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Aloha Kai Real Estate

When I was about six years old I was tragically hit by a car while playing infront of my paternal grandmother's house on O'ahu. I have scars on my legs to "prove" it and as some already know scars never heal.

How does anyone trust again after such a traumatizing incident???

Trust is deep like the sea to me.

Trust is deep like the sea

Yoda is a fictional character but he was right.

I just Do.

There is no "try."

Trusting others epitomizes trusting yourself. Sure I have doubts sometimes. For example when crossing the street or when my husband drives. I do not want to go through that again. I don't want to have to wear a full body cast or have the surgeon pull your leg to put the leg back in its socket. I don't want to relearn how to walk.

Trust is deep like the sea

Trust is very very deep for me. In life and in business.

Without it there is no life. Without it... there is no business. It is the core of my business.

When I work with clients they look at what is visible. People see what they want to see but I know how it is to be blind-sided. I learned about the cruelty of human beings at a very young age. That is why I am careful when they trust me.

The highest compliment that someone can give me is when they trust me to take care of one of the biggest investments of their life.

Trust is deep like the sea

Trust is very fragile and can easily be broken. Once broken it may never be able to be repaired.

That is why I take extra care of it. Like Love, it is one of the most valuable things on earth.

Hi Lana, Your very unfortunate accident and your scars catapulted you into an abrupt hard dance with trust and it sounds like over time it has given you that deep quality of being a person who can be deeply trusted in your profession and personal life.

All the best to you.
