Top Producers- How they are handling the down shift

This morning we had a Top Producer Panel at our Local Assoc.  It was fantastic!!  We had all different kinds of agents )different companies, new agents, experienced agents, teams).  They answered questions on running their business, what they are doing differently today and how they are staying alive in the down swing of things. I would highly recommend all assoc. bring this to their members!!

I look at our market and feel it is down here in Colorado Springs, CO, but when I look at the market all of you in Florida have been working in, I count my blessings.  Our association has one either today or tomarrow.  Thanks for the post.

We've been talking about having a "panel" for a similar reason here in Utah.... Glad to know you felt good about it.  We're considering bringing in some of windermere's top producers nationwide that have been in the business, and survived previous 'downtimes".

Steve, Yes we are slow here in Florida but the strong will survive!!  I hope you attend at your assoc.

Jonelle, Thanks for stopping by.  We offer this seminar every year and we constantly change it.  In the past we have had agents from all over FL, they are always good so I keep attending!

We did the same thing with very sucessful agents in our market.  They were mostly involved in short sales, REPO's, etc.   The one that was doing Farming saw a large drop in her production.  We put a little twist on our program by autioning off the speaker to the highest bidder.  The winner got to spend some time maybe lunch or a mentoring session.  I have yet to find out how productive it was, at least I havent heard anything otherwise.

Great idea - I chair our local Realtors Association weekly meetings, and I'm always looking for fresh ideas.  In February 2008, we're having a panel of appraiser to addrerss how short sales, foreclosures and auctions are affecting the comps they use.

Carol, I love that idea of having Appraisers do a panel.  I just may have to use that one.

The All Pro Team,

These types of meetings can really be helpful for agents or originators who are struggling in this rough market. They get new ideas how to market and the meetings also provide mental support that is often overlooked by individual offices.

The All Pro Team

We had two of this type panels before.  Agents came from different counties and diverse background.  It all boils down to going back to basics in relationship building and keeping up with the technology.
