ActiveRain University Hit Router or How to Propel Traffic to Your Website

Bob Stewart, he does everything, taught another ActiveRain University class last week called ActiveRainTools. I hadn’t taken this class before and was anxious to get those tools working for me. I had no idea what tools we would be covering.
Bob told us he would be covering these topics:
Hit Router
Listings on ActiveRain
Referral network
Reblogging
Social Blog
Signature Line
Blog customization
Community Sponsorship
My first thought was that an hour is not going to be enough time to talk about all these things. My second thought was what is a hit router? I am only going to write about Hit Router in this post. If you are interested in the other topics I suggest you go to ActiveRain University and sign up for the next class.
Bob took us to the Hit Router site. He said that the Hit Router is there to help propel traffic to your website. It’s on your home page on the left side under the Blog section. When you click on Hit Router you will see that there are three sections on Hit Router.
The free site is called My Markets and on the page above the city box it says “Route consumers to your sites for free when they search for home listings in your markets while viewing your profile, blog, or individual blog posts.” The other two site are called Campaigns and Click Credits. When you take the next ActiveRain University Tools class you will learn about the sections of Hit Router.
The blank “city” box is where you will enter the city you want to drive traffic to your website. Type in the each city and when you have selected each city you must enter your websites URL page where you have set your MLS information. Be sure that your URL goes to listing information not just your website front page.
That’s all there is to it Easy and hopefully, now I will get lots of traffic to my site.

Good information - thanks for passing this along. I didn't know there was a free component - I thought all the hit router stuff was at a cost. Now I know!
Great post and another free nugget of info for me to implement. Always wondered what the hit router was...
Thanks for sharing!
I need to take this class at AR University. I've seen this hit router before but never knew what it was for. Now I know and I can't wait to take full advantage of it. Thanks for the heads up Evelyn.
Thanks Evelyn... I often wondered about the "hit router". I'll have to check it out.
Francine: The free component is the best part.
Taft Street Realty: As I said in my blog, there is still stuff I am learning about on ActiveRain.
Doug: Me too. I am still learning about stuff on ActiveRain and the University class really do help.
Peggy: If you have time take some of the ActiveRain University classes. They are really helpful. I hope the rain is not as heavy as is predicted. I am going to be showing property at that time. Take care.
Evelyn~I'm wondering if there is any advantage to me as an appraiser in using this feature? I'm trying to use AR to the fullest, and there is a lot to learn. Thanks! Have an awesome day!
Evelyn, simple & easy way to put it...when i learned about it about a year ago...i said really! Good share...Tell me what do you use to get those red arrows into your post?
Michael: Call or email Bob Stewart. I think he said something about advantages to those other than realtors, but I didn't catch what he said. Sorry.
Ginny: Thanks for your comment. I use Jing which is a screen capture program. The website is www.techsmith..com/jing It is free and I use it all the time.
Ginny: The website is www.techsmith.com/jing I added an extra "."
Thanks Evelyn. I wasn't aware of this free feature until today. I've added it to my site. Love the tips!
Karen:
Thanks. I felt the same way when I learned about the feature. I am glad I could provide the information to you.
