A snowless Home Inspection in South Lake Tahoe in the middle of January! What?

I could not imagine doing a Home Inspection in January in South Lake Tahoe with no snow. Well if all stays the same I will be doing one this week. Normally this time of year when inspecting homes at high altitude I would not be able to see the roof or parts of the foundation and usually none of the ground. I would also be on the lookout for signs of ice damming. While this maybe the norm it won't be this time.

Ice Dam

Well this January there will be full visibility due to the unusual weather. There is a possibly even a walk on the roof might be done, something that could end in death any other January. I usually enjoy working up at the lake but not in the middle of winter. This year I'm looking forward to it. I plan on enjoying the trip because it may never be like this again. I don't know if all of you that live up there are happy about the weather, but I am.

I'm not sure of the weather is helping Real Estate at the Lake or not but it seems like to me that there are more deals going through and people are more active due to the warm winter. I hope 2012 is a good year for all and as long as this weather holds out I hope to be working up at Tahoe more often.
