Motivational Power Quote

Self-Talk Stimulates Your Thinking

“Evidence is conclusive that your self-talk,

has a direct bearing on your performance.”

   Zig Ziglar, author, motivational speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Self-talk stimulates your thinking

There two primary sources of motivation.

One source of motivation comes from external sources the other comes from within. Both sources are a value to us but become very difference

External sources motivation can come from many difference sources. Such as parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, a mentor, a person of faith, managers, or a supervisors. The list of people that can provide external motivation can be long and there can be more than one person in your life providing you with motivation at the same time.

In order for external of motivation to continue there has to be someone there to provide it.

Internal motivation comes from much different roots.

The root of our internal motivation comes from our self and self-talk and in the way talk to our self.

Our self-talk is always there and is the running dialog in our thoughts and in our thinking. Our self-talk can point us in the right direction and it can take off course. It can create positive or negative mood swings, it can move us to actions or can create procrastination.

Self-talk stimulates your thinking. What you think about will stimulate you into a positive mindset or into a negative outlook. Your self-talk is always running in the back ground of your thinking and you are the programmer of your thoughts. Program your mind with positive thinking and you will engage in positive self-talk. Think well and you will be well.

Lou,

I don't know who was the first to think of this, but if it was Zig, congratulations to him because it's true.

Hi Lou , self talk is good sometimes. It is not good "when I talk myself into a piece of chocolate."

Of course one is NEVER enough. Self talk does allow us to put things into perspective.
