Delaware Mortgage Rates for the Week of January 16, 2012

Delaware mortgage rates remain at all time historic lows making it a the perfect time to refinance or purchase a home in Delaware.  Mortgage bonds have been trading at all time highs and rates move opposite the price of the bond so as bond prices go up, the interest rate goes down.

This week the market is closed on Monday in observation of Martin Luther King Jr's birthday.  The market news this week is the report on inflation from the PPE and the CPE which give us a reading on inflation.  A hotter than expected reading could cause mortgage rates to increase.

I would recommend Locking your Delaware mortgage rate if you are looking to close your Delaware home loan in the next 7-10 days.  If you are closing in the next 30 days I would recommend floating and if you are closing in 60 days or longer I would recommend floating.
