Invest Home of the Week

I know I shouldn't like this house.  It stands for everything I dislike about the growth of Prescott.  Let me explain.  In high school and college, I would go ride my bike up Copper Basin Rd, cut up Sheriff Posse Rd and hit the power line rd.  It was a perfect route to cut off lots of busy road way and ride through the forest.  The power line road cust straight up the mountain, steep and technically demanding.  One beautiful summer day I decided to ride the power line rd and low and behold, they were building a house near the trail.  Well needless to say, I wasn't happy, but it didn't effect my ride, it could be dealt with.  The next summer, same situation, but this time, they had caution tape on the trail!!   Up the way, they had literally built over the top of my trail.  It was the sign of the times and I hated it.  However, what was I supposed to do, Prescott is a great town and people want to live as close as possible to the national forest.  I couldn't blame them, I'd do the same thing.

But I love this house.  It would be a perfect place to start many adventures. So here is the house, it could also double as the Luxury Home of the Week.  It's located at 2820 W. Vista Pines Cr.  As with all the houses, it has phenomenal views of the entire Prescott basin.  When you are on the north facing deck, you are almost as high as the top of Thumb Butte.

With a total of 5707 sqft, 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, there is not lack of room to have all your your furniture and belongings.  Many of the Prescott Luxury homes are split up into many small, very specific room.  This house seems much more open and useful.  Maybe because I have  3 small kids, but I like the idea of open space, especially both up and down stairs.  The upstairs and down have big and majestic fireplaces that make each of these big rooms feel comfortable and warm(literally).  The kitchen is set up well so that you can have a breakfast nook and also a formal dining.  Big views from the bay window at the kitchen sink make doing dishes a little more tolerable.

The master bath had a corner bathtub that looked over all of Prescott.  My wife imagined sitting there relaxing with a glass of wine.  Obviously I would have the kids down stairs so it would be quiet and they wouldn't be splashing her while she tried to read.  In my opinion, the best part of the bathroom was the enormous her and HIS closets.  They didn't skimp on either.  Usually you'll see one large side and a small and it's obvious who get's the small closet.  This is definitely a home to hold for 10 years.  If so, you'll see that home value probably double in value.  I would guess that this could easily be worth 1.2 million in that time frame.

Again, if anyone want to see this beautiful Investor Home of the Week in Prescott Arizona, please let me know, I promise I'll keep my mountain biking opinions to myself!!
