Can I Change It?

By
Real Estate Agent with Encore Realty
The market that is and the anwer is....NO.  We do not control the market, we just have to cope with it.  I was talking with some of my fellow agents in the office today and one of them asked me why I was so happy.  My reply was, there is nothing I can do to change the market, so I might as well have a positive attitude and do my job the best that I can.  Makes sense right?  Well, all lot of agents don't have that attitude.  When you call to show their listing they sound really desperate.  My sellers are motivated, let's write something up!!!!!   I find it funny.  I understand that they want to get their clients house sold since it has probably been on the market longer than the sellers would like, but don't get attached to the outcome of a showing.  Of course we want our listings to sell and our buyers to buy, but it doesn't always work out that way.  Now, in no way am I trying to talk down to anyone on here or any other agent, but I just hope all of us can stay positive and get through this market together.  Enjoy your day.

I love your attitude.  I feel the same way.  Every weekend, I venture out and visit agents at Open Houses.  The story I get is the same at every one: the market sucks, listings take forever to sell, and things are going to get worse.

That may be, but now is a perfect time to capture the leads that the listing produce.  I've created marketing around this principle and the agents that are using it, are having better months.

Like you, I'm feeling happy and optimistic.

Best of Luck,

Dan
