Most likely you have already heard of feng shui.  It is the Chinese discipline that teaches how to attract and enhance your life energy (chi) according to how our homes and spaces are arranged.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

Here are some tips on how you can start to integrate feng shui into your life.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

• Clutter and mess prevents energy from flowing properly.  Clean your home and office and discard anything that is no longer of use.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

• If something needs repair, either fix-it or throw it away

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

• Incorporate plants into your environment.  Keep them healthy and watered.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

• Steer clear of too much overhead lighting, and sharp cornered objects should be used as little as possible.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

• Choose are that elicits positive feelings

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

• Keep the front entrance of your home in good repair

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

• Vibrant nature in your yard attracts vibrant chi into your home

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

• Make sure your office chair is the most comfortable chair in your universe

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

The Feng Shui philosophy is based on three main principles; Everything is alive with Chi; Everything is connected by Chi; The Chi in everything is changing.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

Ultimately, Feng Shui is about living in harmony with yourself, and everything in your environment.

Peter-

thanks for the post-- the pain in my back has subsided now that i threw out my office chair and i am comfortably lying on the floor of my office and feeling the cool energy of the floor covering.  At first, i hesitated to take this stuff seriously , maybe because i know so many of my colleagues would laugh me out of the office-- but, dare i say it-- i think there is something to be said for clearing out the cluttered spaces of our lives to let the healthy energy flow more freely.

 OK, i said it. My back still feels better.  I am going home now and going to start filing and organizing and  and not stop til the front foyer floor can be seen once again.

Thanks again for the push-- or was it a pull?
