"Buyers Don't Care about your AR Account"

With the start of 2012, I've noticed that SEO managers, blogging professionals, Bing, Google, and Yahoo reps, etc. are tearing up the phone lines with their marketing and online "advice".  Every one is trying to offer something of value and are certain they have the answer to online productivity.

Here's a follow-up email I received from one such call, and I thought I'd share just an excerpt.

"Buyers will almost never see your AR account and they won’t care either.  The only legitimate reason to spend any time on AR is to improve your main websites rankings."

Hmmm, I can tell you that in 2011 I received many WARM leads from callers who'd gotten to know me through my blogs.  I received several referrals from agents who got to know me through my blog.  I had people referred to me from past clients that went to my blog to see what I was about. I love to tell local businesses that I'm talking about them in my local blog.  Reciprocity is very exciting and I love how good blogging makes me feel.

                                                               I'm VERY EXCITED ABOUT 2012!

I intend to continue blogging on Active Rain - and I'm also working on using Blogger more, and adding to my web page, fine-tuning social media, and some other projects - plus I'm working with a professional named David Bruce Jr. that I can't complain one little bit about.

Here's something I know right now.  Bloomin' happy on Active Rain

  1. I get leads from Active Rain and I'm bloomin' happy.
  2. When I reach 300,000, my monthly subscription drops another $10.00
  3. Blogging like crazy got me up to the top section of AZ - so when referral sources look to see who's who in AZ AR - well, there I am.
  4. My latest pay-per-click experiment on Bing.com isn't bringing me one lead so far in its "free introductory month" just like Trulia didn't, and Yahoo didn't.

Maybe these sources, or others like them, have worked for you. We all need to utilize the methods that best work for us...and blogging works for me.

I will say that I'm looking into the items the above professional sent to me, and I've already tweaked my right-hand links a little bit, per his advice.  (Thank you, Tim!)

But the bottom line is... What works for you?

Want to get to know me?  Read my blog!  Want to read Tucson real estate market reports - I've got that.

Want to search homes for sale Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley or any of the metropolitan areas of Tucson, AZ?  I've got that.

Interested in information on REOs and Foreclosured upon Homes for sale in Tucson? Follow the link!

Want to chat on Facebook?  I can do that!

Want to tweet!  I'll follow you if you follow me!

Communication is good, and I enjoy my time here on Active Rain - and it's been one of the most productive lead-generation tools I've found in the past 18 months.  Sure...I can improve upon so many things - and I plan to keep learning and tweakin' and optimizing my time and so forth.

Bottom line...Active Rain Works For Me.

Great blog Cara. And so true in that :what works for you:. If it doesn't cut the ties and move on so long as you give it long enough. If it works, work IT! Great job and I know that blogging works when you stick to it and get out there. They may not care about your account but they will learn to care about YOU! And that's all that matters. Have an awesome 2012!

Those that do not see the power of AR have either not been around long enough OR are not writing good enough material to get the calls. I for one have seen MANY transactions due to my blogs on AR... and yes, my site does rank better as well. :-)

Cara - AR offers so much more to me than just links to my website though I do like the Google Juice.

Cara do what works for you. I find Active Rain to be a more professioal site than others

out there.   I tried other sites but find this way of networking and exchanging ideas and

information is great.

It seems to me that when any sales persons says somebody elses "whatever' doesn't work it's just to try to sell me whatever product they are pushing.

Congratulations on your featured post! David has also taught me so much SEO stuff! I love AR, but to tell the truth, I haven't been that active for the past few months. But, I'm back now and blogging!

Funny, they like to downplay Active Rain all the time, most who have been on for a while know the truth.

We are not doing this for nothing. I am sure there is better opportunity to be found on line....

The people who search on line are often first time buyers or busy tech savy professionals...

What an interesting post from 2013. There are definitely cons and pros to have AR blog and not your own blog.
