What is Trust to me?

By definition, TRUST is reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence. 

What does that mean??  If we take a moment to think, assess, and analyze the definition of the word it could quite possibly mean different things to different people.  To me, Trust means loyalty and reliability.  Trust means never having to worry that someone may betray you or be loyal to you.  Trust means believing in someone or something and knowing the outcome without doubt. 

You can trust a person. You can trust an entity.  You can trust a news channel.  You can trust a company.  You can trust a school.  You can trust many different things … but at the end of the day – your trust is essentially your good faith that you believe in that someone or something.  Trust is earned and can be lost.  Trust is a very fine line that once lost may be very hard to restore. 

There is nothing in life more precious than the innocent trust of children.  Our children trust us from the very moment they are born.  To keep them warm, to feed them, to nurture them, to love them, to hold them and kiss them and have their best interests at heart; the most basic of life’s necessities are entrusted in their parents from the moment they are born.  As children grow and change and become adults, this sense of trust stays with each and every one of us.  Some of us trust easily, some of us do not.  Some of us have had our trust broken by those we love and trust the most and some of us have not.  Trust is an evolution of belief and confidence in the world and those around us. 

As it pertains to my business - trust is of upmost importance!!!  As it should be to any business minded person or company.  Trust is a circle in the world of real estate and we all rely so heavily on each other to complete transactions.  My clients trust me to help them secure financing that meets their needs and will help accomplish the common goal of purchasing a new home.  They trust that I will hold thier personal financial interests at heart and lead them into prosperity.  I trust my partners - whether they are appraisers, title companies, realtors - to also aid in accomplishing the common goal for the client.  Trust is required each step of the way - with each person involved as we all depend on one another to ensure a smooth transaction for the client.

Additionally, trust is sometimes making a mistake - but taking accountability, finding resolution and moving forward.  No one is perfect.  No person, no company no thing.  But trust is finding the confidence that one can make it right and keep moving forward.
