Thanksgiving cards sent to past clients got the phone ringing

By
Real Estate Agent with AVALAR Pro Realty
Last week I went to the Dollar General and go Thanksgiving Cards and sent them to every I closed in the past. My phone had slowed down ringing. However, this week the old clients called to say thanks and I got one really good referal. One client called wanting information on refinancing his home. When I explained to him that the last home in his sub. closed for 34000 more than he paid for it 5 years ago now he is thinking about selling and buying another. I think in this market if we focus a little more attention to our little black real estate book we may have a little more income during these tuff times...

I always generate some business from the Thanksgiving card mailings.  My cards are due to be delivered on Thursday and they will be at the post office on Friday.

Michelle - People LOVE getting cards in the mail.  If you look at a week's worth of mail, I would guess that 80% is junk mail, 19% is bills (or vice-versa) and 1% is a note or card.  I tell my clients to send out cards either for Thanksgiving or as a "Mid-January" card.  That way, the cards don't get lost with everyone else's holiday cards.  I use SendOutCards because it is quick, easy and only costs about a dollar (postage included).

Congrats again on "Standing Out from the Crowd".

Sometimes a simple thing like that will work wonders. Yes, you've got to do what you got to do.

For Christmas I normally go through the clients names and send a 5.00 Mc Donalds gift card to the kids. These kids are awesome they will not let the parents put any one else sign in the yard because Mrs. Michelle gave them that gift card

I think, we are back to 2007, a phone rings again and we can tell the clients that their equity is back .

Do you still sending out cards?
