Video Blog Once a Week - Lights, Camera, ActiveRain.

As a Realtor, we get this question all the time: "so, what's the real estate market like?" And depending on how much time you have that answer could be 30 seconds to 30 minutes.

Since we all blog these days, and since video is becoming such an important component in real estate, social media and marketing, I thought it was time to get in-front of the camera and answer that ubiquitous question every week.

I've redesigned my website to accommodate this weekly real estate video blog and this fresh content should help my SEO and hopefully my return users. Click the picture below to view my first real estate video blog for 2012.

Video blog for Steamboat Springs Real Estate

Over the last few months I've been writing down a list of topics to blog about. But in reality, ever week I see something in the Steamboat real estate market that's worth mentioning. So there's an endless list of things to talk about. From the way foreclosures are being sold, to why luxury homes are worth more, to the shrinking inventory, blog on my fellow ActiveRainers. Make it happen.

Video blogging is not new in real estate. Some great agents have been doing this for a while now. Ian Watt in Vancouver, and who could pass up Frank LLosa and FranklyRealty. The king of real estate videos.

Hi Charlie ~ Great idea to incorporate a weekly video into your website.  I know it is good for SEO, but I am having a hard time making it happen.  I just need to do it!  Good job for jumping into trying some new things in 2012!!!  Good luck to you!

Video killed the radio star... or was that the real estate agent, broker that continued to wear light blue Don Knots style leisure suits. Moving and grooving the marketing the same old under the disco mirrored ball way he did twenty, thirty years ago. Video is one slick delivery system to show and tell, connect and engage. Woo Hoo!

I've been doing more and more Vlogging but have not redone my blog (non-AR) and probably won't as I just use less and less words. Love doing videos and often answer buyer questions via video.  You've been doing an awesome job on your videos.

I shoot with a Canon 7D. I edit with Apple Final Cut Pro on a Mac. And recording the Mac screen is done with QuickTime - it's free.

thanks
