Rhonda~ GREAT blog!! I am looking forward to reading more! The proof is in the pudding as they say!!
Hi Rhonda....I just read about "who's blogging" on Melissa's post and thought I'd say hi....I do marketing for my team and it IS fun.... time consuming but fun..... it makes the phone ring; directs traffic to our open house events and provides sellers with samples of what they will see after we list their homes....the benefits go on and on.... happy blogging.
Rhonda welcome to Active Rain. I'm sure you will find lots of good information here to share with your agents and for training.
Rhonda, I too came over from Melissa's post. Welcome to AR---have fun!
Rhonda: Great post and great advice, exactly what one should expect from a strong team leader. That's why I love working with you!
Look forward to more! Julissa
Great post Rhonda! Welcome to Active Rain. You won't be sorry about your decision to become a Rainmaker. AR is a unique place like no other I've ever come across in our industry. The best thing is the attitude, nothing but positive! Have fun!
Excellent first blog! As a techy myself (spent 20 years in high-tech), you're right, we do convert internet leads very well. I hope the class is a success. In the meantime...
Welcome to Activerain!
My role as Ambassador is to offer help and assistance to new members to get them off the ground to succesful blogging. One of the best parts about this community is that there are many members offering excellent tips on how to blog better.
My first suggestion is to go to Activerain University. There you'll learn the basics of writing a good blog article as well as comments. I'd also suggest looking at some of the top bloggers and looking at how they structure their blogs. A few folks to consider include:
One of the best groups to submit your posts to is Bananatude and I'm a moderator there along with several others. When you post a story there, you'll get a lot of regular readers stopping by with comments. Many members of that group are Ambassadors and regular members who just like to help. The founder, Anna Krutchen, is a very gracious educator of new members. Please stop by the group and get in touch with her.
Lastly, one of the best ways to make friends here is to comment every day. Don't focus on points as much as just writing something relevant to the blogs you read. If you really like a particular writer, then subscribe to their blog. Subscribing is an easy way to find new posts from authors you like.
If I can help you in any way, please feel free to call or write. I'm happy to help. Stop by my blog as well. If you like it, please subscribe. I look forward to reading your comments.
Rhonda, I stopped over because of Melissa's post. WTG for jumping in. I'm sure that the time you spend on here will reward you - first in the information you'll learn from the great members and from the internet exposure which will drive home buyers and sellers to you. It takes time, but it does work.
Rhonda,
I too came because of Melissa, but i wanted to point out one huge thing missing from your blog...
LINKS. The more links to other sights the more SEO and the higher you climb up google. The content is great, the length is great, but the SEO will be low.
Welcome and Good Luck.
Rhonda - Headed over here to give you a great big welcome to Active Rain after reading Melissa's post. I've found technology played a big part of my marketing in 2011 and looking to ramp up some additional strategies in 2012. Looking forward to seeing more great posts from you in the future.
Rhonda ~ Welcome to AR! Congrats on upgrading to Rainmaker. Don't sweat the small stuff on your first day, awesome post! Melissa would't lead you a stray. : )
Thanks to all for the advice and comments. I DO have a long way to go - lots of homework and trial by error I think. I'll be hounding Melissa for help of course, but am impressed by this community already.
Feel free to school me anytime!
