In the ultra-competitive business of real estate you don’t often see a great deal of cooperation and mutual respect between agents. That is why I would like to thank Phil Farranda of J.Philip Real Estate, Westchester, NY., for taking time out of his extremely busy schedule to sit down for an extended lunch with me and act as a sounding board.
Phil and I have done some business together, not a whole lot, but I really have got to know and respect him through his prolific blogs on Active Rain. When I have a question, there’s usually an answer tucked away in one of those blogs. So when I had an idea for something new recently and couldn’t find anything anywhere, not even in Phil’s blogs about the subject, I called Phil and invited him to lunch.
We had a lovely couple of hours. I really like this guy, after all he owns a Yellow Lab, so how bad can he be? Turns out that he’s an in-your-face-honest sort, that will tell you straight up if you are full of @#*t! But even more than that, he actually offers advice. Good, sound, well thought out advice, based on his insightful knowledge of all things real estate, marketing and life.
Thanks Phil. I hope that this was the first of many lunches and we can work together on our mutual goals of being purveyors of great service to our clients and our peers. This could be the start of something good!
PS Did I tell you I have a Yellow Lab too?
