Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in Portland, OR 1/18/12

Looks like Kat Palmiotti knew this one, but was holding back so others would have a chance for correctly guessing last week's Where is it Wednesday titled:

Main Street Bridge, answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in Hillsboro, OR 1/11/12

Each week I'll be posting a new picture on Wednesday morning(ish). The title of the blog will have the City where the picture is taken and I'll post the answer Wednesday evening...not only here on my blog, but on facebook business page (please click like and add yourself there) as well as tweetin it on my Twitter page and posting on Google+. Remember, you're free to google or use whatever there is on hand.

Yesterday, there were certain areas of Portland that had some slick roads so I couldn't get out and take pictures, so..this picture is from an evening out that I blogged about. I can't remember if I named this building in the post though.

Hint: As you can see, this one is in Downtown Portland, but what I'm looking for is the name of the building with the Portland Sign.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, it's the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Portland Center for the Performing Arts..or just "The Schnitz" to locals
Named after the Matriarch of the Schnitzer family, the "Schnitz" was built it 1928 and according to Wikipedia, "is the last surviving theater building on Broadway, which was once lined with large theater houses."
Arlene and Harold (who passed last year) have been huge philanthropists in Portland giving $80 million in charitable donations to a wide range of projects in  Arts and Education. (see full bio of Harold here).
The night I took this picture, I was heading over to The Old Church not far away, for a nice holiday concert and just had to snap this photo of a distinctive Portland sign.
So see if I wait to evening to check out your blog, I forget about it! So I just have to guess now. My guess is this sign hangs at the Arlene Schnitzer concert hall, which is part of the Portland Center of Performing Arts. It's a very distinctive sign!
Hey Kat, you are very correct! It is a distinct sign..so figured this one would be a fun and fairly easy one to look up. I'll be back later..probably while you heading or already off to bed to come back with the details. You've come a long way since the first one! Congrats and thanks as always for stopping by and playing along!
Hi John, Hmm..I don't think we got that much today..but who knows by the end of the week..supposed to be a wet one. We did get a some snow yesterday..which in Portland kinda stops everything. Some areas above 500 ft. got the most, while nothing stuck where I live and today was just rainy..so anything out there is gone. All is well..thank you!
Hi Debbie, I was hoping I had a good picture to use for this weeks WIIW in my files. I always say I should just go out on one nice day..drive around and take lots of pictures so I have them on days when I can't get out.
I probably am not spelling it right, I am thinking the "Arlene Shnitzer". Its been 12 years since I lived in the west side.
