10 Comments on Easy Commute to Dallas | Toll Tags Available | Rockwall County
Barbara, i love the way your area calls them 'toll tags' that is new to me...we have the E Z pass with a responder & ours are doubling for the Newport bridge without it...great info
Commuting for work or pleasure just got a whole lot easier for Rockwall County residents. Good consumer information Barbara.
Barbara, This is good news for residents in your area. You always provide great local information.
They are making it a lot easier to get around town now with the highway improvements finally seeing connections and completions. I remember when I use to think that Rockwall and McKinney were so far from Dallas, now they are a lot more accessible. Have a grat weekend!
Ginny - I love hearing all the different terms used across the country.
Anita - thanks! Not only are the Rockwall residents enjoying the new extension, but people moving to the area are excited that the commute now is even easier than before.
Gita - thank you. This news is long awaited by all in Rockwall!
Connie - I remember those days too! The Rockwall (and all of Dallas area) is not anything like what I came to when I relocated to Rockwall over 30 years ago. Have a great weekend.
Hello Barbara,
What is the toll for the bridge when you go into Dallas?
When I get to go on vacation in a couple of months I will be stopping by to meet you. I don't recall the name of the Italian Restaurant that opened in Rockwall, but we will have to visit it when i get that way.
best, Clint mckie
Barbara~ Always wondered how those things work, as I do not have tolls anywhere close to where I live...Kinda of like a debit card...cool!
Barbara, The toll tag is so convenient. I still have mine hanging in my car so when I visit Dallas it ready to go.
So glad you posted this! I'm way over in Fort Worth and didn't like going to Rockwall. Well, maybe now I'll like it a bit better.
Melissa - it's not really like a debit card, you just have it stuck to your window and the system scans it. You don't even have to stop in most places, just keep on moving. If you run out of money, they just add a bit more to your account. It's really cool how it works and makes traffic flow smoother.
