Leigh Brown memed me today.  It's all part of the first Active Rain Meme.  I'm supposed to tell you 5 thingies about myself and then meme 3 others.

I've selected Brett Ellis, George Souto and Angus Woodbury as my memers. 

 

 

1.  I appeared on the Evening News with Dan Rather and was interviewed about a Gypsy Moth invasion in Connecticut.

2.  I love politics!!!  I  am a local elected official and served as campaign chairman to our current mayor. The photo on this blog is my photo taken with Governor John Rowland of CT who is now in prison. Really.  (Ok, I could have used the one with Laura Bush but that wouldn't have been nearly as funny.)

3.  I have attended 11 Clay Aiken concerts and consider myself a "Claymate".  (No snickering please.)

4.  I am the leader (affectionately knows as Mom) of the Cyberprofessionals - a technology group who meets twice a year, around the country.  (Membership info at the CP site linked here.)

5.  I will be speaking on a panel at the Annual RE/MAX Convention in March about .....you guessed it...BLOGGING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!!!

Nice rundown, it neat to hear about you guys. I haven't been to a concert since the 70s. do not know much about Clay.

Hello. I received your blog from a Google Alert for Clay Aiken. Huge fan and new realtor here! I also have attended 13 concerts and a book signing. I am missing his concert this time around, as he did not head to Ohio. Good luck speaking for the Realtor/ ReMax convention! I work for a small local company, but have been "wooed" by a ReMax agent to join her team...I am considering in the spring! Looking forward to hearing more from you regarding both CLAY and the life a realtor.

Thanks everyone for your comments but a special thanks to the Claymates who came to my rescue here.  It appears that my post made the "Google Alerts" for Clay Aiken.  Now how cool is that!!!???

Linda, I don’t know how I missed this yesterday. You are a lady of many surprises!!! I have met John on many occasions, and found it very hard to have a conversation with him if he was near a mirror....LOL.

OK, the big question is, when are you going to go to the 12th concert?

George,  I was at the concert on the 12th concert in Hartford with the symphony.  In one of the tables right up front!  It was a great Christmas concert - he really sings the Christ back in Christmas!  No political correctness for him.

Jeff, Thanks for commenting.  I know there are sooooo many of these but they were fun!  I know I missed a bunch so I'm going back to read some today.  I'll look for yours.  I know it must be here somewhere!

Hey Linda! I saw Clay Aiken giving a tour of his new home on TV last week ..Maybe he'll outgrow it in a year or two and call on YOU! Also, I actually listened to the whole interview Clay did with Tyra Banks earlier this month. Verrrrrry revealing. Did you ever wonder how we can appreciate both politicians and entertainers? Maybe,.if you look at it from a certain perspective...they are one and the same as per Governor John Rowland ?

Hi Linda - The Cyberprofessionals group looks impressive. I'm lucky to live in Las Vegas -- Sell-A-Bration, KW Family Reunion and NAR all come here in 2007, so it looks like I'll get to avoid airports!

Gotta be honest, I voted for Ruben. Clay's fans are fiercely loyal and it's great that a few ventured into the Rain to comment! I've played piano since I was five (it's in my meme) but you definitely do not want to hear me sing!

Since this has turned into a Clay Aiken discussion.....I have been to 5 of those 11 concerts with Linda.  I enjoyed everyone of them, especially the one we just went to.  We had "Golden Globe" seating up front at a table and it was a divine evening!

I'm finally catching up on reading other's memes (I was away while it took over like wildfire on AR a couple of weekends ago).  It was nice reading 5 "thingies" about you.  I didn't know you were so interested in politics, but it's good to hear.  I must be one of the few who doesn't watch American Idol but I can say that so far the only winner whose music I really like is Kelly Clarkson.  I was going to say something about Clay Aiken, but I'll be nice.  :-)

LOL Leanne. Thank you for being nice, especially on Christmas.  I actually like Kelly Clarkson a lot too.  Kelly and Clay actually did their first concerts together.  It was great!
