Remember Armando Montelongo from A&E's Flip This House??? - PART III

By
Real Estate Agent with KEIRE Realty Group

A few years ago now I wrote a blog on Armando Montelongo from A&E's Flip This House. If you have not read it or remember reading it...you might want to check it out  http://activerain.com/blogsview/436444/Remember-Armando-Montelongo-from it's a pretty lively and engaging topic.

At any rate, since that time I've received several letters from folks who have attended his seminars. Here now is one such letter and my response to her...I have removed the Sender's email information for their personal privacy and safety.

In closing, I would be interested in knowing if others have any similar experiences while attending these types of seminars. Please share so that others can benefit from your experiences.

Cordially,

-Keith

Mr Elliott, i went to one of the seminars that Armando was supposed to be teaching last night in Greensboro, NC.   Well, after everybody got there they announced that Armando was not there but his VP was going to tell us about his class.     This guy was very straight forward about but everything but he really didn't tell us anything about this class.    He showed us about a preforeclosed house and how they got that (Armando's Company) and then turned around and sold that house to somebody and made thousands of dollars.    He kept on telling us if we were not interested in making money to leave and started cussing like a sailor.  To me this was not a classy way of doing a seminar.    They us if our phone's rung we would be charged 100.00 for that so turn our damn phones off.     I am 57 years old and but the way this guy talked to us was awful.      He would call people out by name and made us feel like we were lowly people.   It was awful, toward the end of the seminar he even told 2 ladies to leave they didn't need to be there.   He talked awful to them, they finally got up and walked out.    At then end he was pushing Armando's class which was almost $4500.00 to get into but last night only he was selling it for $1500.00.    People that DID NOT have the money got up and signed up 7 to be exact.   He made the rest of us feel like low lifes.   I finally told him i for one didn't have $1500.00 for the class.    He had mine as well told me to get out.   I have not been to a seminar before but i will not go to another one.      I just wanted you to know about this one.    It was awful and one more thing we heard at 40-50 times how him and Armando was millionares and they didn't need to work a regular job.    I was sick of hearing that too, if i had thought about it i would of asked him why he was there teaching a class if he didn't need the money.

Hello Ms. XXXXXXXXX,

Thank you for your email and for sharing with me your experience at his seminar.

I'm very sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Unfortunately, many seminars operate the same way. Hopefully, you can take what you learned from this experience and build on it.

I've found that those who have real wealth don't brag about it nor do they put much emphasis on it. Sounds like his organization is struggling and perhaps a bit frustrated.

If you have any questions that you would like me to answer for you, I'd be happy to do that. Just let me know...

Cordially,

-Keith

Hi Keith, as sad as her email is, it does not surprise me! Almost 10 years ago I went to a similar seminar and it was just as horrible. I could not believe that some people actually bought into it and shed out thousands of dollars. It's a disgusting scheme. You are right on with your assessment "people who have money do not need to brag about it". I sincerely hope many people will come across your blogs and, thus, avoid falling for such a scheme!

They are hitting the Pennsylvania area pretty hard right now with ads on pandora.  Anytime you go to a website like theirs you have to be 110% skeptical.  There is no information.. just give me your email and get 2 free tickets to the seminar.  Better time and money would be spent reading a book.

I am going to attend one of the seminars to invest on March 6th, 2015 at the Detroit Marriott in Troy, Michigan. I am very interested in meeting people who are willing to do what it takes to make it. Hard work, effort, attention, and did I mention good old fashion "hard work". Something people forgot how to do. It's very important to put in your hard work, it shows value in people. Value, is the psychology that people bring to or unto your life and that you share with others. What is this person's value in my life? How are we valuing each other? Are they bringing great news or the Debbie downers? How am I of value to this person? Only then can you truly evaluate your relationship with one another.

I am extremely SORRY to preach and the OH SO UNFORGIVABLE incorrect grammar with run ons I usually never post anything, but "My Family", who are immigrants and jobbers came in 1983 to United States of America, the greatest country on the planet EARTH, with $500, and have raised myself and my siblings with work ethics also known as hard workers. My older brother was born in Kuwait, not my family's native land, in 1982. They traveled in love with one another throughout the entire middle east literally with their hard worker ethics through countries which they were not wanted because they were/are still Christian made it here to America, the country where anybody/anyone can make it. Also, they were basically slaved because of religion and not knowing a single person or connection. Being new to a country which most of us don't have a problem dealing with. We all went to high school and know neighbors that are willing to help. Moreover, has paid off considerably, being as little as, my older brother, myself and little baby youger sister can make it. We have been able to provide back to our parents in repayment for the love they have given us with a home paid cash money and a new mustang that my father dreamed about for as longs as I can remember. He sold his own prior to 1981 to marry my mother and travel the distance to the usa, my friends who take the time to read this.

I am proud of being first generation to the USA without ever accepting government assistance for longer than a period needed. I went through a downward spiral in my life where I needed to have health insurance from the government for a period less than a year where I had become old enough to be booted from my fathers insurance, provided BCBS PPOM, which by the way saved my mothers life from lung cancer, provided by his factory worker job at Flex N Gate. I worked through it just to get by, and as soon as I was able to do what I had to do, I was off of it. Never abuse or slap the hand that feeds you.

My father was a carpenter and an all around handyman. I worked with him growing up as kids, as my school friends and neighbors, played in the playgrounds enjoying that freedom that they had had. I learned the trades and applied that to do insurance restoration work and started building my real estate guroism, my own word, or entrepreneurism, if you will.

I love this country and with a little bit of hard work you can make it. Save money, it's not about how much you make, it's how much you can save! Thank you auntie Wafaa for saying that to me as a youngster. Life is not a joke, you have one life, at least many of us think that, you must make the most of this life. I hate to preach I really do. But life could and should be so beautiful if we just followed one thing. Work ethics, in which turns in to values and drizzles down from there.

I'm the proud owner of http://www.Kerkoriangroup.com, also know formally as Kerkorian Group, LLC, a quad corp, Michigan based real estate investment company, a general contracting company, a insurance restoration company (parent of Kleanster.com a mitigation company) and a everything you need company. How can I help you from Internet design, web development, insurance work/jobs or just plain out enlightening your companies work flow for your employees or or employers. I can do it all.

My one saying is "Don't look up to me, just look at me, I'm here in front of you proving what can be done".

I'm willing to help anyone for nothing in return at all, just the networking. I believe in good karma. I will do on to you what you will or willing to do with me. How can I bring value to your life?

Skip this now I'm just ranting on and on. :/
