Referrals are great!

Funny how the world turns. Yesterday, the phone rang early, it was a lady that said “Hi, I was referred to you from__________. I have a townhome to sell and I live out of state, could you take a look at it”.

The person who referred me was my first broker I worked with in 1996. She got out of real estate last year and gave me a pat on the back by referring me.

I went to work with her in 96 because she was teaching one of my classes and seemed to be a great person. She was worked in a team with another broker, so two brokers with lots of experience to help me, the newbie. I learned so much from her. Her and her partner split up in 2000 and that is when I left them also.

I am so glad she thought of me and referred me to this person.

Will, you obviously made an impression on your mentor! I'm sure she's met lots of other agents in the years since but she referred you! That is so wonderful!

You never know when something is going to come from a past encounter. I got a call yeasterday from a Realtor whom I emailed about helping with a listing last May! He told me that the listing is still on the market, the owners don't want to do anything to help the sale, but could I help him with a new listing? Yay!
