Just to give you a little idea of how fussy I can be about cleanliness and what I feel is appropriate for a new resident moving into a suite.

I just spent the last two hours cleaning a suite that got painted yesterday.  I have someone scheduled to come in and do the cleaning on Tuesday, but I would never expect her to deal with the stuff that I dealt with today.

This also might tell you a little bit about what I expect from the people I hire.

I don't expect them to do anything that I wouldn't do myself.

That's all I've got to say about it!

Time for lunch and maybe a quick nap!

Make it a great day!

Roger -- isn't it interesting how much stuff various workers leave behind for someone else to clean up?  Now that you have taken care of the major stuff, the cleaning person can deal with what they were expecting to do.

Have a blessed 2012!

Roger~ I am the same way!! I have been lucky enough to have a wonderful lady that has helped me over the years when I am to busy at work to get t=everything done around the house... My kids laugh because the house has to be picked and and "ready" for her when she comes!! They always say "who cleans to have someone come and clean?" Me thats who!!

It's the right thing to do Q Man, glad you agree.

Believe me Steven, it wasn't my painters that left stuff behind, it was the previous tenants, and it really wasn't stuff, just filth.  The tub, toilet, bathroom sink, stove, refrigerator.............I could go on and on, were disgusting. My cleaner will appreciate what I've done for her already............she's a gem!

I knew I wasn't alone on this one Wanda.............very cool.

When I'm in a good financial position, I have a cleaning lady too Melissa, and I clean before she comes.  She laughs when she gets here because she knows I cleaned ahead of her.   The house has to be "ready" for her. Oh well, that's me.........glad to hear it's you too.

I like that lunch and a nap idea.  It sounds like a great plan.  I looked at a couple houses with a young couple today, and I was amazed at how dirty they were.  The one that was spotless wasn't appropriate for them.  Too bad.  Happy Friday!

Roger~I agree with you, I'm the same way. I also agree with Mike, a nap sounds like an excellent idea.

Have an awesome weekend!

I'm the same way....my husband laughs because I pick up before I leave a hotel room so it won't be messy for the housekeeper!  I'm cleaning things in my house (for sale) that people will not even see.  I doubt the house I'm moving into will have been given the same care.

Roger, that does not surprise me about you. That kind of care and responsibility says so much about you. Have a great weekend. And, "are you managing properties again?" Somehow I thought you were unemployed or I probably missed your post.

That has to be most discouraging for your clients Mike, I can't believe people would try to sell there house and show it filthy.  Had a great lunch and nap, now I'm all set for the evening!

Glad to hear you feel the same way Michael.  Had that two hour nap and loved ever minute of it.

No question in my mind you're the same way Sharon.  Oh yeah, the hotel room.  Do you make the bed  too?  I got over that one............LOL.

Thanks Cal, great compliment, I appreciate it sir.  Nah, you didn't miss anything, I am still unemployed.  I am just helping my brother Tony's partner with a rental he has here in Fairport Harbor.  Just getting it ready so it can be rented.  I have all the connections from my previous job to get the work done at a reasonable price, and what I can do, I do myself.

BARFF- you've been so busy lately.  See, I never doubted for one moment that that's the kind of person you are.

Roger, me too, I'm a hands on person, and sometimes prefer to do it myself. when my husband tells my son to rake, I step in and help, I say I task like that is better with help.

Thanks Lou, the way I've always been, learned it from Mickey I guess.

Unemployed and busier now then when I had a "real job" BARFF.............go figure.  Thanks so much.

This was just too nasty to leave for the cleaners Ellen, but I agree..............pitch in.

Tom, if you had seen it, you might have done the same thing................LOL.

Isn't it crazy Rene, I'd be embarrassed to leave a place so nasty.  I moved the stove and refrigerator and found spoons, knives, forks, spatula.................what's up with that?  Didn't they miss this stuff?

Roger, I'm sure it's your attention to detail and cleanliness that your clients appreciate the most about you.

I wouldn't ask anyone to do something I wouldn't do either except for the exterminator.  I can't mess with a mouse.  The whole scurrying thing freaks me out.

They all seem to mention it Juli....................thanks.

Yikes, not fond of mice either Liz, but I have killed a few in my day.

Thanks Michael, that's just how I am.
